The first one happened in 1979 after a bad storm and tornado touchdown at nolin lake . There was a horrible scream and the sound of branches breaking coming up the hill towards our trailer .The adults there described it as a sound of a screaming monkey crossed with a mad elephant . The men ran outside with flashlights and pistols and fired towards the sound . It let out a horrible scream and then turned and went back down the hill towards the water. I was about 10 at the time and slept through the whole thing , but my friends mother who is a devout christian and never lies said the men were telling the truth and she heard it too.
The next one happened 3 years later at a place at nolin lake called cave hollow bay
we were exploring a big cave there when we heard a scream / growl that would make your hair stand on end. We ran out of the cave and have never been back since. I still go to the same camp every summer as my childhood friend inherited it . We go almost every weekend in the summer and ride atvs. I also have heard the woop sound there as found on the bigfoot sound websites. I hear it so often that i am used to it. I always thought it was just some kind of bird. Now that I know what it is I will keep My eyes and ears peeled and see what kind of evidence I can find This summer .............Scott

bswearingen, That's a cool pic. Did you get it from a web site or do you have some special software? If it's a web site could you post the link? thumbup.gif smile.gif

Yes tims, this is from the NASA "WordWind" site and I use it to try and visualize the areas described in some of these sightings like this topic near Eagle, Colorado. There is an interface with the online image database that you download from the site and install to your computer then you are ready to go. There are many viewing options and these images are overlaid over MOLA digital terrain as you can see in the following images of Mt. St. Helens and a feature in the forground of some interest to those who read these threads.

This another St Helens from the same angle using 1 meter black and white resolution.

Sorry, I meant to write NASA "WorldWind' site not "WordWind" icon_bang.gif
