I found this in the CryptoZ site.
Briefly, in 5/02, a man and daughter see a BF in woods of a local park. 6 weeks later, they chat about it at a party, find others have seen it, and also hear that, 2 weeks after his sighting, the local police had closed that park and searched with 50 officers and DNR (?) agents. But, nothing was ever printed in paper, and police deny event. Police suggest the man chat with a NNR agent, who was furious with man, and told him to forget everything he saw. Man decides to clam-up.
I haven't heard of any 'strong arm' tactics by police on BF. This sounds like men-in-black and UFOs, or whatever.
Anyone hear anything about this?? Strange behavior by officials.

dogfoot police officers etc are always sometimes like that when it comes to the sasquatch pheanomena. im not saying this to be mean to anyone but as useal the goverment wants people to deny everything about it. but let me tell you all something if someone came up to me or called me to me deny of i saw a sasquatch i would not listen to that person at all becouse we all have rights citizans plus i would be kinda upset etc its my opinion. please keep more posted on this new wisconsin report. thanks bill green

I read about this sighting last year, and I live not too far from this area. It is about a hour drive. I am gonna check out this area in the spring. I have driven through this area twice since October of 2004 and saw nothing. Although this is a heavily wooded area all around with MANY creeks and a good sized river with swampy areas all around it. There was a sighting in 9/03 just north of this area as well!!!! And wouldn't ya know it, it is near an Indian Reservation.

Hi Vilas, is this the Black River Falls report you're refering to? Should be a good location to scout since the sighting is only a month or less ago. It's more like a 2 to a 2.5 hour drive from my location.
January 2005 sighting near Black River Falls

Hi, I'm from Black River Falls and am very familar with the areas talked about. I did alot of work with the forestry dept some time ago so I got around alot. Never saw anything, but then again it was 20 years ago and wasn't very interested in Bigfoot back then.
I have some advice for you wanting to check out the area. 1- there's alot of state forest so don't get lost. 2- there are rattle snakes, wolves, and bear so be careful. 3- alot of the logging trails are pretty rugged so you might need a 4 wheel drive.
I actually drove threw the Spaulding Pond area 2 weeks ago looking around, didn't see anything.
Have fun!

dstroyr666-
Thanks for your post- it's good to have you here! :new_thumbsupsmileyanim: Welcome to the BFF, it is always awesome to see more WI people.....we have quite a few here now, some I probably don't know of yet. Have you heard locally of any activity? I heard there have been stories about Wazee Lake. I want to camp there sometime. My husband dives, so he should like it there. Keep us up to date on the area, I know of 3 sighitngs in Clark county north of there. They were in the 1990's I think. I can't wait to check out the State forest trails, any recommendations on which ones? Once you have more posts you can send and recieve PM's (personal messages). You are lucky to live there it is a beautiful part of the state, have you ever canoed the Black River? I would also like to do that too. Stick around- I'm are glad you are here! Sail
