hi everyone i resently saw a report of some footprints being found in the snow i think in ny state it was mentioned on the gcbro messageboard. i think sasquatch creatures might use the new england railroad tracks as a form of migrational route. bill green

Bill,according to the BFRO,there hasnt been many sightings in the N.E. area. Perhaps we're just too overdeveloped,or overpopulated.

Depends on the Route Bigfoot would like to take. For instance the railway edges along the lake champlain quite a bit, nothing but frieght trains and amtrack out there to disturb it. If you think of main roads there isnt that many in the NY area once you leave Albany and head in any direction. Whitehall to Platssburgh, 9n or I 87, quite a few miles of roaming between them. I do not know of anyone who works the railway but I would bet since trains nearly run themselves and dont go too terrible fast the conductors must have seen something or have heard of some stories. "Jacko" comes to mind.

Hi Bill, You have seen my post before about sightings in NY state. I know of several in Allegany county. There are none listed on the BFRO yet! I know one person who poster her sighting on the BFRO, not sure if they will post it. she was scared to give a contact number. She did give her email though. Actually both girls reported the sighting, one would not give any contact info and the other gave hers. I know another person who got scared a couple years back by what he says was bigfoot while hunting. He has been teased by his brother and father and will not talk about it. I know a man who lives in that area and ran into him recently and told him about the sightings. He also knows the two girls and laughed and said they probably did see bigfoot. He himself lives near vast wooded areas and said that he has heard earie screams that no animal he knows makes. I'm still trying to get the man to talk about his hunting encounter... I will be sure to post it when I make contact with him. For those who have the time and interest it would be cool to post a land use, or satellite image of Allegany county NY.

Ive been to upstate N.Y. hunting a few times,and the thing that really struck me was how wild things can get not too far from roads,houses,etc. My step-mothers family owns a bunch of land in the Cooperstown,Springfiled area. Her brother brought me out to a spot behind one of the small cottages they own in Springfield,I was amazed by how desolate it seemed. A hundred yards behind the cottage it was like I got dropped off in the middle of the Maine wilderness.

Hey Bill, You might be on to something with the railroad tracks. I work for Union Pacific so I have read all the reports here in OR involving railroad or close proximity to it. Very little other traffic on these route and one would think the amount of noise a train makes would give BF a chance to step out of sight before being seen in most cases.

Bill, Haven't had a visual but have heard a strange reply when calling elk. Best described as a whoop. Was scouting at the time and using a cow call to locate the herd. Didn't find any elk. The herd that is usually there apparently moved on. Two years later found a twist off within 1/4 mile of the same location.

hi everyone i got a call from a man from glastonbury,ct claiming his train struck & killed a 9-10ft tall sasquatch on the railroad tracks today or tonight. it was walking down a cliff then it walked on the railroad tracks thats when the train struck it and killed it. he told me they through a tarp & rocks on the body. maybe someone from connecticut should contact the glastonbury train station or something . thanks bill green ct sasquatch researcher.

Glad you brought this here to us Bill. You just remember that since your story was in the newspaper that you might get more people trying to pull a hoax on you. I don't like the idea of this guy wanting you to go out there where he says this happened. You did a very good thing by telling him to report it to the BFRO. Just be careful of those people who call you and report things. We don't want anyone to take advantage of our Bill!

You'd think it would have been smart enough not to walk in front of a speeding locomotive. Maybe it was Sasquatch suicide. At any rate if it's true it solves the problem of someone shooting one in order to produce a body... Come to think of it if the train was moving so fast that it struck and killed a Sasquatch that couldn't move fast enough to get out of the way then depending on how many cars it was pulling it should have taken quite some distance to stop.. up wards of a half mile or more. So I wonder if they backed the train up all that distance in order to cover the body with the tarp or if they walked all the way back? Hmmmmm.... The guy was possibly pulling your leg.

My sister-in-law was an engineer for Union Pacific for a few years. She never saw a Bigfoot that I know of, but she did say it takes a looooong ways for a train to stop, sometimes miles depending on load and speed.

I think everyone on this thread is giving you good advice and has your best interest at heart with their advice.

Don't even think about going out there unless you are with two or three other people you already know and have trusted for a long time. To tell the truth I think this person is trying to hoax you. If he really had a bigfoot body he wouldn't worry about what his bosses or anybody else thought.

hi researchers good morning i think sightings activity evidence of sasquatch creatures has been kinda slow becouse of all the wicked weather in new england states. at least their have been a few reports in new england in 2005. i think that sasquatch creatures are useing sewers & caves etc to keep warm etc. its just a thought. thanks bill green

hi everyone a couple weeks ago a man came to my apt and gave me a newspaper clipping about the new hampshire sasquatch from the newspaper called concord monitor titled a hairy tall tale stalks salisbury. since then ive been seeing this article on all the sasquatch websites crptozoology sites etc. i guess this means sightings in new hampshire will probley pick up soon. the article was written by monitor columnist scot french.
