Hi All

Just an FYI that there is FINALLY a Bigfoot conference happening this year in Bellingham Washington.

Jason Valenti, who is an avid bigfooter, is throwing this together. The dates are 27, 28, 29 May, 2005.
He will post this on his site, which is listed below.

http://www.sasquatchresearch.com

The speakers he has lined up will be:

Lloyd Pye
Christopher Murphy
Thomas Steenburg
Jimmy Chilcutt
Al Berry & Ron Morehead
Robert Alley
John Andrews
Todd Neiss
Jason Valenti

Stephen Harvey is Master of Ceremonies

You can view the flyer on the event at this link immediately:

http://home.comcast.net/~paul.smith7/Bellingham.htm

Hope to see you all there. Bigtime Bigfoot Networking, demonstrations, artwork,
an eye-witness forum, and probably a ton of fun!

Let me know or let Jason know if you have any questions.

See ya there!

Sorry people I did not see that another thread about this has already been started. Maybe the moderators can fuse the threads together.

Thanks.

Thanks for the tip... I assume you'll be there?

Thanks for the FYI Paul!

See you all there.

Wow, kind of pricey don't you think? blink.gif

Redwolf
tugboatwa
For comparison, The Willow Creek Symposium was $125.
Redwolf
True, but that's why I couldn't go to that one either laugh.gif

RW

It's a four-hour drive and third of the cost. I'll be there representing the BFF!
ecwool
I think that it is reasonably priced. The cost of putting on one of these events is high, flying in and housing speakers and all.

I'm planning on attending.
5towz2
I think the price of the conference is reasonable, considering that I paid the higher price for the Willow Creek Symposium and thought it was well worth the money! thumbup.gif Hope to see there! biggrin.gif

Hi All

YES Tugboatwa, I'll be there! Since I'm doing the flyers, banners, ads, probably the t-shirts, programs, tickets and all else art related to this gig, I wouldn't miss it for the earth itself!

Jason is all over this, doing a fantastic job drumming up as many well informed speakers as he possibly can. He's working his butt off, so I feel compelled to get involved to the hilt.

He wanted me to speak, but I really don't have much to say. I generally go to these things to learn, which usually means keeping my big mouth shut and my one half priced ear open! Instead, I'm going to be giving demonstrations on digital art, analyzing digital photographs, AND I'll be giving a demonstration on how I draw the Bigfoot. In fact, since I haven't done a BF illustration in a while, I plan on starting one at the conference, so anyone that's interested can watch. It is the ONE area I feel qualified to give a demo on, really.

But for the most part, I'm there to network and learn.

And yes, I'll have some of the old inventory prints there for sale. I'll have newer digital prints, but they'll be smaller ones. I plan on pricing them low, and bringing enough for everyone. I will of course sign every print.

Above all, I'm looking for a chance to have fun and howl with my Bigfoot friends, some of you I haven't seen in quite a spell!

Hope as many of you can attend as possible!

Also, sorry if I threw this thread into the wrong category. I wasn't sure, so I used the time honored SWAG method to decide which one to put it in. Thanks for correcting it, Tugboatwa!

See Ya

Hi All

Just an FYI on the upcoming May conference in Bellingham, WA. Three more
speakers have been added, and the flyer has been updated. Jason will
load his copy of the flyer on his site tomorrow . . . he's out chasing a squatch
whose tracks they discovered tonight! So his site will be updated tomorrow.

Until then, the new flyer can be seen and downloaded here:

http://home.comcast.net/~paul.smith7/Bellingham.htm

Added speakers:

Rick Noll
Thom Powell
John Kirk

Looks like a heavy duty line up! Hope as many of you can make it as possible.
It's gonna be BIG fun.

PS: Jason is attempting to deliver an invitation to a sasquatch tonight . . . it is
unknown at this time if the Big Guy is available.

Stay tuned!

THe REAL number is 360-676-7700. Looks like I slipped a digit.

The flyer has been corrected and posted. My apologies to anyone who attempted to access this bogus number.

Hi Everyone

The conference in Bellingham just got a lot more interesting with the addition of
Loren Coleman as an additional guest speaker! The line up for this three day conference is amazing. Loren confirmed a couple days ago, and I just posted the new flyer here:

http://home.comcast.net/~paul.smith7/Bellingham.htm

I truly hope you all can make it up there! I'm not sure what each indiviidual will speak on, as the agendas have not been set yet, but I almost don't care.! new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

Anyways, check out the flyer, and if anyone has any questiions about the conference, contact Jason, or I'll try to handle a response myself.

See ya all there!

We need to all get together for a photo or something...

Hi All

Here we go with ANOTHER update. This one just keeps on expanding . . . it's really got the look of a Bigfoot party to the the MAX.

A while back, Autumn Willliams signed on, and just over the week end, Owen Caddy
signed up to speak as well. THat's 16 people giving presentations for this week-end long exploration of the Big Hairy Guy.

PLUS, there will be an outing involved. I don't have all the deets ( . . .I'm just that little ol' flyer maker . . . ) but apparently Jason got to talking with Rick Noll, and they are going to do an "Operation Nightwatch" thing on Saturday night! Which means getting out into some of the Bigfoot Hotspots around Bellingham. Jason is already mapping out several different locals, as there are many that are within an hours drive of the conference. I know . . . I've been with him investigating some of these areas.

There has been a LOT of sasquatch activity in Bellingham, and most of it tends to go unreported as the communities up there tend to take the low key approach. But as many of the key speakers will attest, it is a VERY active area.

More details can be had by e-mailing Jason at Jason@sasquatchresearch.com. Or you can e-mail me, or post it here, and I'll ricochet the question to Jason.

The full line up of speakers for the event:

Loren Coleman
Dr. Jeff Meldrum
Lloyd Pye
Autumn Williams
Owen Caddy
Jimmy Chilicut
Rick Noll
Thom Powell
Robert Alley
Christopher Murphy
Thomas Steenburg
Al Berry & Ron Morehead
John Andrews
Todd Niess
John Kirk

Stephen Harvey will conduct things as the master of ceremonies.

THAT is some line up. And it's probably the last line up change that we'll have. We are faced with the problem of scheduling everyone in, and if anyone else wants to give a presentation, there will probably not be any room! We have, technically speaking, three pounds of speakers and a two pound bag!

Plus, I still intend to do a demo on drawing and painting a sasquatch.

Anyways, here's a link to the .jpg flyer on my site:

http://home.comcast.net/~paul.smith7/Bellingham.htm

Hope to see y'all there!

I visited the facility this past weekend and it really looks like a good one. The FOX conference room is set off from the rest of the hotel and has a ceiling mounted AV machine and screen. It is unknown right now if the seating will be theater style or round tables... I kind of like the round table idea. There will be a wireless mic that will be used for audience questions. There is a separate room for the displays in the main hotel. For those staying at the Hotel, it has a continental breakfast area at the desk and there is a major mall area nearby... from books stores to Bigfoot Java coffee. Many restaurants nearby as well.

People will be in for long days with this one so if you need batteries, bring a few extra.

And here is the hotel.

Tried to do something artsy but it turned out crapsy.

My plans are made as well. The wife and I will be flying into Vancouver, BC on Thursday night. Friday, May 27th is our 10th anniversary, as well as the first day of the Conference. We will be staying as the houseguests of the ever gracious John Kirk and his wife. Looks like we will be making a full-fledged vacation of it and staying over through the next weekend to make the Seattle event as well.
