I noticed a post from Elmira14901- I'm originally from Elmira but live in Ithaca now. Anyone else from these areas or surrounding areas? Bigflats, Horseheads, Corning, Newfield, Spencer, Cortland, Dryden?
I'd love to talk to someone about Bigfoot that lives in my area. My family and c-workers all think I'm nuts.

My sister in law lives in Whitney Point. Not to far from Ithica. If I have to visit this spring I would love to check out any BF activity. I was just going to send the wife and kids, but if there is something to do I may head up there as well.

I've posted this elcewhere, but I've been hiking the ADKs for years. I've never seen / heard anyone talk about BF. Lots of black bears terrorizing the backwoods campgrounds, but no, but not much today. It's strange that the old legends talk about terrible creatures that scared the hell out of the old Indians (Green's book, et al), but not much today. There are certianly major woods, mountains, and hidden passes in the ADKs that would support a population. Many of the mountains have only 'informal' trails to the summits.
Look at these. There is NOthing out there:

I would Think you could be correct. Even the area surrounding the park to the North and is very dense bush like area. I also suspect the Moose River Valley area of the park. That has untouched forests and countless lakes with one dirt road into that area. Hey you never know.

I would think that inland from Lake Erie about 3 miles and further right around where Pa. and Ohio are would be a possible area.

hi everyone good early morning i have a great idea please put a map of upstate ny on this thread so this way you all can pinpoint the resent & old sightings etc so that way you can keep track of the creatures movements without harming it in areas or counties of ny that have high sasquatch activity etc. thanks bill green
