There's probably 10 or so threads on this already, but I'm going to leave this one open because we have so many new members since it was last discussed in detail. Use the search feature and you can catch up with what's previously been discussed.

And for those whithout the decoder ring, ME stands for Mysterious Encounters.

I must agree in part Crewchief....doesn't seem as if they do too much 'bird doggin',' if you will - for Bigfoot. I saw one where the female blonde investigator ( wub.gif ) was sitting on the ground - she then freaked out and they jumped into the suv claiming something struck the auto. Now, this seemed to be very interesting and, a possible BF encounter. Yet they only showed a tiny clip and didn't elaborate or investigate the event. Staged? Hmmm..............

I finally watched the Oklahoma show last night. AFAIK that was the first time it had been re-run. I have to say, it was a very good show. There are some things about it that I have a few questions on, but have decided to take that up privately. dry.gif

One thing I would like to point out. One of the witnesses they interviewed was a young woman who was a hunter. She and her husband had traveled miles back into the woods and were camping out in a tent. She woke up to find the face of a creature within a hands reach of her face. There is NO WAY that any open minded person could watch her tell her story and not believe that she IS CONVINCED she saw exactly what she says she saw. It sent chills up my spine to watch her emotions and reactions. To hear her tell how the experience changed her from loving the outdoors to being terrified to go out, alone or with her husband, and how it had affected their marriage was heart breaking.

I believe the show is being run again tonight. Watch it if you get the chance. smile.gif

Edited to add IS CONVINCED in the post. It was what I meant, but not what I said.

I watched the Oklahoma show (my hitch hiking experience was in OK) and thought it was very good. I had not seen it before although I thought I had seen every show at least 9 times. It was one show that did not repeat the same eyewitness descriptions over and over.

I was one of the most open minded people you could ever meet when conducting an interview during an investigation. That is the only way to get at the truth. However, that does not mean that I always believe people see what they believe they see. My experience as police officer has shown me time and time again that honest intelligent people make huge errors in what they perceive under stressful circumstances. As an example, a couple of intelligent people wake up in bed and find some criminal who has broken into their house standing over them and you would think that they were separated by time zones - not inches - when they tell their stories.
I would need corroborating evidence to accept that it was a Sasquatch that she saw.

The show is certainly directed at a general audience rather than the hardcore BF enthusiast, but I'll watch any show about BF. It's been a long time since I've seen any of the other documentaries on Discovery Channel or TLC, so it's better than nothing.

I don't think they've shown either the Oklahoma or Bluff Creek episodes north of the border. I'm starting to wonder if OLN Canada only bought part of the series.

We're getting the Alabama Booger and Creature of Whitehall episodes this week, Tuesday at 7:00 and 7:30pm EST.

i've watched ME on and off for a while - and i actually like it - yes it's reality TV
but it has been interesting especially covering areas beside the NW.
sure helps that autumn is attractive ;P
but looking up her nose with the night vision gets a bit old

- just like "ghost hunters" on sci fi channel.
if you ever watch that show - wait for the guy to say:
"dude! what was that?" "did you see/hear that?"
my son and i joke about it - happens EVERY show

I have the episode "The Tsiatko Giant" on tape. I was very impressed with how well it was put together. My cable company finally added OLNTV a week ago and I'm really looking forward to seeing the other episodes. I did see a bit of the Oklahoma show and I liked what I saw.

Here is a link to the line up.
