Thanks a lot.
I remember seeing a show maybe a couple years ago, it might be X Creatures. And some guy got scared, he was being viewed with nightvision, and he took his gun out and started firing into the dark.
That was pretty disturbing that someone would do that.

Is "Ancient Mysteries: Bigfoot" the one with Herriot's footage?
How hard would it be to record/get a digitized version of the possible eye-shot so someone could analyze it?
(Not sure how all that camera stuff works. I'd really love to see a full-fledged analysis on this footage though as it seems it's never been done)

Anyone know?

I watched
Investigations of the Unexplained and the Bigfoot segment was, not surprisingly, the last shown.
Among those on expedition into the Oregon forest were Ray Crowe and Todd Neiss. They set up trip wires, game cameras, and footstep detectors. Nothing was captured on film, but a few photos of a mouse.

Yea, I've seen the bigfoot segment on Investigations of the Unexplained. Brought back memories of tromping around in the Pacwest woods hoping for an encounter. Would of been nice if they got some kind of evidence but at least they did the filming honestly and didn't try to embellish it for tv land. Thanks tugboatwa on the info on the other shows. I would not have known.

They also had a segment on a wolf-man in Southeasternern Wisconsin at a place called Kettle Moraine State Park. I could see someone getting the decription wrong in the dark. I thought that sounded like an interesting possible BF encounter.

reportedly that was a reenactment of what happend to him previously. he wasnt actually scared at that moment

He must be a good actor because he looked genuinely terrified and he fired his gun and you can see the recoil.
Anyway, scary to see a re enactment of someone so scared they start firing into the dark like that without seeing what it is for sure.

I'm sure you haven't seen this explained here before Thomas, as it's been awhile, so here it is:
The cop appeared on some message boards shortly after Bigfootville first aired, when everybody was up in arms about him firing blindly into the woods at something he couldn't see. He came to set the record straight as he was very angry.... what had happened was, the producers, or that reporter-chick, or somebody, asked him to fire into a little rise that was right there in front of them... I can't remember why, or how they got him to do it. Anyway, he wasn't firing blindly, or AT anything, but they took that footage and edited it to make it look like he was blasting away into the woods, which he was not, and he was extremely upset that they edited the show to make him look like some backwoods doofus.

Thanks. Same problem my friend had in college, she went on a dating show and she said they cut scenes to make you look like the way they want you to so the TV shows are more edgy.

About the "shooting-blind-scared-to-death" episode of Bigfootville. The reporter chick is cindy Baer (spelling might be different) she works at a radio station in Tulsa. I have been trying to get in touch with her to ask some questions but haven't been sucessful yet. Not that I could get any information from her but I want to try.

As I had other things to do this morning I taped the Biography Channel show.
As I was setting up the VCR, my daughter gave me grief for taping another Bigfoot show. But when I returned, she admitted to watching show and said, "It was interesting."
