A Review of the Novel “Dark Woods”
Written by Jay Kumar

This is a story that obviously reflects the fact that the author is very knowledgeable regarding the Sasquatch. It’s a little difficult to tell if there really is a “bad guy, good guy” theme to the story. Even the Sasquatch that are in the story, are difficult to pin down as malevolent or benevolent. The overriding theme seems to be more political than anything. There are environmentalist issues, big timber issues, scientific issues, and more than anything else, pharmaceutical issues. When I say pharmaceutical issues, I mean that the characters take an awful lot of Motrin. When there is that much pain, then there has to be a lot of action. Go along with Vaughn, Mackey, Allison, Professor Lansing, Jack O, and a host of other characters, on the chase for a legend. Along the way, you may acquire some nuggets of knowledge about the Sasquatch that are probably quite accurate. The author seems to have researched the subject quite well. You may be surprised by how the book ends. It’s a good storyline, which tackles relevant issues. All the characters seem to have their own agendas. Perhaps you will too … when you enter the “ Dark Woods.”
