Yet another "sasquatch kills" film is due for release.

There are a few stills of the creature on the site and after all these years of technical advances in film, the sasquatch in this movie is still depicted as a gorilla-like animal and looks obviously like a man in a suit. You would expect someone would have a little imagination here and make the sasquatch a little different from the succession of the same type of creature seen in nearly every single film.

I have noticed that nobody has tried to craft a sasquatch in a movie that remotely resembles the Patterson film creature. If it is that easy a thing to replicate as the detractors of the Patterson film have stated, how come Hollywood has again dropped the baton? I would like to see one Hollywood film just TRY and replicate the Patterson creature for once. It's supposed to be a breeze, after all they are supposed to have been able to use a wallet and keys to make a hernia, utilise bags of water to simulate flesh and muscle movement , bags of sand to make wobbly breats and take a simple horsehide or dynel fur suit and make a beastie of it.

That beastess in Patterson's movie is looking even more real to me after seeing this latest movie effects creature.

Hollywood or movie makers might argue that they'd like to make Sasquatch more of a monster for ticket sales... but they are missing the point that what makes the Patterson/Gimlin film so haunting is that patty looks more humanoid, not a "Scary monster".

This was talked about here around 6 months ago or so.

Didnt they see sasquatch the movie last year? Not much difference between these two movies, good lord how many movies have they made of sasquatch as a dog faced, long canine fanged, drooling , murdering apemonster?
Anyway they say they have used the latest technology in suite making and digital special affects and look how hokey that thing looks compared to Patty and the P&G film .

But then again, just about everything related to Hollywood is fake.

btw- What's that shadow behind the girl in the photo? Looks... kinda like an ape.... or perhaps an ape-ish man.... or maybe a bear with a human face.

I did watch that trailer and saw that the director is a visual fx guy. So a CGI Squatch with some hairy suit work is what we get. I'd prefer to see a bit more muscle movement.... y'know.... like Patty. And she's just a girl anyway.

But I look forward to any new Bigfoot flick. I have a pal who's about to shoot one and there's that other one that's already been shot with the REAR WINDOW style storyline too.

I purchased the old '74 film SHREIK OF THE MUTILATED yesterday and saw once again the worst suit ever made. The guy even had on white tennis shoes at one point.

They will probably get my hard-earned 40 bucks (two tickets plus popcorn and soda-pop) just because of the subject matter. Otherwise, I would wait until the DVD is realeasd. I would expect it to be about as 'realistic' or fact-based as anything else out of hollywood. But, it is an interesting subject.

Am I the only one who has realy not cared for most all of the sasquatch movies? About the only one I truly enjoy watching is Harry and the Hendersons lol. I hate it how most all of the sasquatch movies end up being about an evil north american gorilla man hell bent on killing all of mankind. I will more likely than not go see this movie in the theaters though yet I still long for something less sci-fi channel movie like about the sasquatch.

Nah! I feel the same way, Jack. It will be a waste of money. Probably still a lot more interesting than a Richard Gere movie, though.

A man starving to death will eat anything to survive. A Sasquatch enthusiast will watch anything, Bigfoot, that comes out. Even if turns out to be trash.

I might see it for the chick. Knowin how trashy this films looks there's gotta be at least 1 "cover your eyes!" scene in there.

I know this one has been mentioned before, but I think ABOMINABLE looks to be one of the better Bigfoot flicks in a long time. Should be out soon.

The lead and his girlfriend being attacked by a Sasquatch while attempting to escape in their car is almost exactly like what happened to me and the girl I was with in my own "not sure" encounter...

... except for the part about when it came out of the woods and touched the car.

But other than that it was exactly the same...

I mean, the girl did start the car and drive off in a panic. That's almostlike being attacked and killed and having your car trashed.

I had emailed Matt Lattimore "starring" in the movie Primeval way back when it was discussed here the first time. He promptly emailed back and said that they were still trying to get a production company or something to that affect/effect (never could get that right) to pick it up...probably the same going on with Abominable.

I'd like to see both of them released even if it is "straight to video" just to take a look. "Sasquatch" was horrible, but all things related I'll watch anyway even if it is a "D" horror movie! I think I'm the only one here that liked the Blair Witch Project so my "tastes" aren't up to speed with other members. I particularly liked the stick formations and rock structures in that movie and the tent being "visited" every nite...

Heck, I even got stuck on watching "Congo" yesterday for about the 10th time when I was flippin' channels on the tube yesterday evening.
