I am looking for recent sightings in Oregon. Any area would be fine, just trying to see whats going on in my state.

What county are you in? Jackson here. Keep your eye on Oregon Bigfoot as well as the BFRO Site above.

I am in Linn County near Sweet Home. What town are you in? I have heard of sightings a couple of years back in Ginko Basin near Union Creek and a recent one near Butee Falls.

SW of Medford, almost due west of Talent near Anderson Butte. I checked into the area between Butte Falls and Prospect where the July sighting was, and there is some ongoing activity just SE of there, supposedly at some type of animal sanctuary.

I've also been looking around in an area known as the Salt Creek Area which had a sighting in the late 80s, east of White City, West of the IBS report area, and only a few miles south of the July Sighting location. All in all it's still a lot of area to try to cover.

I've read just about every report from Oregon posted on various sites on the net..Altogether, there's over 1000 reports..The International bigfoot society has over 600 by itself...Then there's Oregon Bigfoot.com, Bfro.net, Bigfoot encounters, GCBRO and the Sasquatch information society, etc....Just North of you and East of Silver Falls ST PK is the Abiqua Basin from which alot of reports originate....Silver Falls St PK also has a number of reports...Up above Green Peter Reservoir is another good area.....Indian Prairie Lake, about 20 miles North of Sweet Home has also had some reports...It's kind of tough to find, hidden in a maze of logging roads..

I would be interested in coming down there to follow up on some of those. Would you be interested in teaming up for a day of follow ups with me? I used to live in Shady Cove so I am somewhat familiar with the area.

I live in Eugene, and work in Cottage Grove.

The Bohemia Mines area, & the MacKenzie Pass region both have a good record of sightings and occurences.

According to the BFRO site, the proposed expeditions for 2005 will include one "in Oregon" in July. I'm really curious where this might be.

sierramadre,
If your interested in meeting some people to do field work with, try going to one of the IBS meetings, I believe they hold them once a month in Portland. I live too far away to attend but did go to one of their yearly get togethers and found many people who are interested in going out to see what's going on.

good luck!
