I've read a lot of different reports about someone suspecting they heard sasquatch outside of a cabin, house, etc., and have heard the doorknob wiggle.
Has there ever been a report about a door actually OPENING? Now that would freak me out. I read a report somewhere about an arm coming through a tent flap........

The book Bigfoot Across America has some stories in it where a BF might have opened a door. I can't remember where, though, so I can't just look it up.. I'd have to reread the book until I came across it.

This is the only up close, face to face sighting I've ever read. I guess this would be scarier than the doorknob, but I see Mary Green's name at the bottom which may discredit this report.

Wasn't there a report somewhere detailing how a Bigfoot supposedly broke through a screen door and raided a refrigerator on someone's back porch?...Think this was in Utah or Nevada or another western state where this reportedly occured...
I remember they actually had a little skit on this particular report on Unsolved Mysteries back in the day (which makes me think the event itself happened in the late 70s or early 80s)...
On a side note, I've noticed Unsolved Mysteries DVD collections pertaining to UFOs and Ghosts...When are they gonna release the Bigfoot one???!!!...That one report on UM describing the guy walking up on a Bigfoot smacking rocks together on a (hiking?) trail was quite interesting in and of itself...

Indeed it would be a little concerning :help: I wish the online bfro db could be made more searchable- we'd be able to pull up things like this more readily. I do remember that it was a young guy- teen maybe, and I don't think it sounded very credible to me.

I read a story about a guy here in Hunt County Texas somewhere in about the late 60's or 70's. He lived in a secluded house in the forest. He was alone home one night about 1am when he heard his dogs barking. He also heard something moving around.

Hi, this is my first post. I've been avidly devouring everything I can find on the net for a couple of years now and just discovered this forum...go figure... Anyway, regarding the topic, I read a report recently about a family who reported one that would come in their basement and come up the stairs & try to get in the main part of the house. The basement door was typically kept locked for this reason. The report went on to say that one of family members heard it in the basement and as they ran to close the door it was rushing up the steps & hit the door just after they managed to close it. Sounded a little hokey to me, but exciting nonetheless.
I also read a post recently by a woman who saw one late at night in their house as she lay in bed with her parents, both asleep. She said she had older siblings and it was not uncommon for them to come home late & let the screen door slam shut, which is what she reported hearing before hearing it walk down the hall then see it standing in the doorway looking in. She also reported hearing it leave a short time later.
Not trying to "stir the pot" or vouch for these stories in any way, just reply to your topic relating some posts I've read.

Have any of the Unsolved Mysteries Reports been found online?
They did the break in story mentioned above (hair found IIRC), one about a Ranger or Army reservist spotting 2 bigfoot on the bottom of a hill while he was on a routine assignment, the Bigfoot clapping rocks/giving chase story, and probably a few more I fail to recall.
I have some/if not all of these on VHS thanks to taping off Lifetime, but I'd like to research further.
Johnathan Frakes hosted a special about 10 years ago which had a picture of some miners in black and white, but in the background of the trees you could see a Bigfoot IIRC. The miners didn't know of the "visitor"

The GCBRO report sounded to me to be open, upfront and honest, in spite of the Mary Green investigation. I can't think of many hoaxers that would be so specific they'd add something alluding to the witness' glasses fogged up when the BF snorted and when he could see again he just saw hair sticking through the mesh of the tent. If that was a fabrication, it was a well thought out nice literary piece.
I especially liked this part of the report:

Yeah, I noticed the details, too. I agree with ARsquatch. Details that someone wouldn't think of if they hadn't seen or sensed them.
Arnold_OldSchool,
Can't say I could tell ya! So sorry! I've read reports of knocking/hitting the sides of homes, even tents, rocking vehicles, stalking people (or at least side-tracking them in a non-threatening way), plus all the rest. If you've looked around a little bit, then you know what I've seen in the line of reports. Some are credible, some are incredible, some are iffy... Alot of them fall in between, so, who knows?
My main failure is in my filing system! I've read thousands of reports, and seen almost all of them on TV. I read something like this in the forum, and it takes forever to find what I know I've read.

I think the story about the bigfoot having sex with a cow was from Loren Coleman's Field Guide Book. The story goes on to say that it made the professor angry that the bigfoot would do such a thing and the professor got furious, so as he drove by the bigfoot the professor yelled out "You picked the ugliest one" or something like that.
(Really thought that pretty funny)

It wasn't a rancher, It was allegedly an earth sciences proffessor. That part in the Colemans book was taken from the original work " The creature", by Jan Klement ( fictitious name).

I liked the story mentioned about the trucker who awoke to find BF stealing a twinkie out of his truck. Im sure the BF took it out of curiosity. But it makes me wonder if he ate it, or simply examined it and threw it away? I can just imagine BF strolling through the woods eating a twinkie.
Perhaps we should substitute calls with twinkies? Who knows, maybe the big guy loves the creamy filling?

Very great idea. But the thing about that is you have to be sure he'd get to them. We all know things like bears, ants, foxs, and so forth will eat them as well.
I guess the only thing to do would be to personally give them to the big guy. :new_whistle:

There is a report somewhere on BFRO of a witness claiming that a bigfoot came all the way inside a cabin that she and several other girls were sleeping in at a summer camp. She said the bigfoot touched her face and she blacked out. The next thing she remembered was waking up the next morning on the floor. She said she at first thought it must have been a nightmare, but the girl sleeping under her on the bottom bunk told her that she had watched it while it had been walking around the bed touching her. That way be very creepy.

I think we can deduce from stories like these that female BF are few and far between... :new_whistle:

Well, in actuality it's not like they'd have to watch anyone. If they came across a door knob they'd probably play with it and then eventually open the door. Not exactly rocket science when you think about it.

I have heard some storys of a bigfoot turning a door knob back and forth. Or pulling it to and from. But not being able to get the two actions together. IF these storys are true, then it may show an imperfect imatation of the house/cabin owners as they open the door.
