Good pics. It's always nice to see new tracks, especially when done with a witness such as Nat. Geo. I'm looking forward to the article.

That's good cause National Geograhic also filmed tracks at the Carter's farm on 9-25-04.
The witness with Janice was Dr. Igor Bourtsev. now that should really lend credibility.

And the tracks were authenticated ? Either set mentioned by someone like Chillicut or Meldrum ? And as C&C noted, where is the actual article relating to this ? Or did I just miss it ?

Edited for those pesky typos

Ranger, you make a statement but can you back it up with some facts. I have asked you before (let's see if you will answer but I doubt you will) how & where are they casting BF tracks when Mary Green has already said the Coy farm was sold??????????

This is not ranger. Will I do?

It was easy enough to find out this information and I'm surprised no one else bothered to. Actually, it's personal and private and shouldn't have to be posted on this board in the first place. Mary did wrong in posting it to everyone. I heard she was pressed for a statement from Loren Coleman though.

However, it was not Janice's portion of the farm sold, but her Uncle's share which she tried to recover. She still shows as owning her part of the farm. By calling the courthouse it was found that she had thought her property had also been sold illegally. She and her sister came in and got the facts straightened up. Janice still owns her own property and they cannot take her part for the uncle. Easy enough. Do your homework.

This picture is odd as well as the one posted above. I don't see the indications that it was casted on a slope nor does it have the dirty flash edges or surface seen on all original casts made in soil. This doesn't add up to the story behind the words in my book:

QUOTE
Giant Footprint CastingsThis casting shown in the picture was witnessed with a national geo crew making a documentary last week.

Five tracks above this one slope was 20-degree and foot prints where five ft stride. Then thru berry bushes which where as much as one inch were snapped off by the animals foot stepping on them... this lasted about 30 yards more into the hillside and up. Did not track further as I was not equipped to have a unscheduled meeting. Will be going up again as per making recordings as new equipment is available.

Casting measures 16.5 inches long, 5 inches wide at pad.

Either the story is incorrect or the pictures are just a recreation.

Neither side of the cast looks original... the shape is similiar enough in these pictures, but the lack of dirt adhearing to the plaster is a red flag.
Tsiatko
must be that magic non-stick plaster.

Now there's an idea... teflon plaster! You can make those special BFRO Bigfoot Expedition pancakes on them. biggrin.gif

DDA,

I thought the same thing when I saw these photos. Do you see all the rocks that were moved to make a nice dirt track area on this rocky hillside? It seems odd that they would have already made a second generation (which would be clean) and acting like they are pulling it from the original track. In fact, I know when I remove a casting I leave a crater twice the size of the actual sight. It would never look as pristine as that one! And why the dusting all the way around? Is he that sloppy?

I need more info on this one before I'll buy this one.

Yes, I noticed the lack of a large removal crater and the plaster dusting, like as in adding a detail to make it look real. And it looks like a lot of travel wear on the hill side. Has anyone ever heard of this guy?

For now I am chalking this one up to trying to ride on Nat Geo's coat tails again. Once the crew leaves they can say whatever they want to... at least till the show airs.

I was afraid that Nat Geo would run into people who would take them out and try and hoax them just so that they could get on TV and then when that wears off, tell the world that they hoaxed Nat Geo. Just might happen that way still.

I've actually been experimenting with Superfill, a type of granite/marble epoxy I use at work, as time allows. Its fairly inexpensive, easy to carry and washable after the impression is made. The results so far are mixed.Treating the area first with a layer of silicone spray seems to have the best effect while keeping the details. The biggest problem is getting an even 'pour' over the area you're trying to cast. But as you've noted before Rick, Practice makes perfect when it comes to casting. thumbup.gif

Well Blade, I am trying to understand why you have to answer for Ranger who in turn has to answer for Mary, so I guess that will do. But why would Mary, go into such great detail & ask for help with lawyers etc. in the first place & put such an outragious story about Jans farm being sold on the internet if it was so personal & private. Maybe you should be talking to Mary since "It was easy enough to find out this information and I'm surprised no one else bothered to" it's obvious she didn't but I guess it's par for the course like the rest of the alleged claims of all the Bigfoot activity. Maybe someone there should have done their homework first.

Blade, this statement that Ranger made "That's good cause National Geograhic also filmed tracks at the Carter's farm on 9-25-04. The witness with Janice was Dr. Igor Bourtsev. now that should really lend credibility." was homework done on this claim or will this also be something that "shouldn't have to be posted on this board in the first place"

Why assume that National Geographic Society was involved? This was posted on the Coast to Coasts website with a statement of "witnessed with a national geo crew making a documentary last week."??? Very suspect to say the least. National Geographic society wasn't involved at all. That's my take anyway.
Denlevi
Anyone know where this was alleged to have happened? I didnt see any info on Coast to Coast. I would agree with the fact these casts look to pristine to be taken from the ground there. I smell a fruad.
