I ran a search for this and came up empty... so here gos... http://www.gorilla-haven.org/ghfamous.htm
Six down, Snowflake, a white silverback gorilla.

If you're asking if we think there could be a yeti connection with Snowflake, then for my two cents, I'd have to say no.

Here's another thread concerning Snowflake that was posted not long before he died.

Thanks for the reference... I couldent find any realivent threads on the subject.
I didn't know snowflake had died.
Although my point was that if a white blue eyed gorilla could be born then a white bigfoot might also be born. And snowflake was quite fluffy as if meant for the cold.

Hmmm...well, I know from the photographs that Snowflake did look pretty fluffy but I really don't know if he was that much hairier than most other gorillas. The blue eyes were kind of a nifty anomoly though. I think there was some disagreement as to whether or not Snowflake was really an albino.

As for white bigfoots, there are several reports that have indicated a white bigfoot. Some of the speculation tends to revolve around the possibility of bigfoot getting "grayer" with age, much like a male gorilla becomes a "silver back" as they grow older, and much the way people tend to go gray or white as they age. But, as they say, better to turn gray than turn loose. wink.gif

Actually, Mountain Gorillas are very "Fluffy". Even though they're in Africa, the air up in those mountains is quite cool and damp, and often quite cold at night. Not enough for snow or ice, but it can get down in the forties.
