There have been BF sightings in the area of Polluck Pines and Sly Park and there is currently a fire burning there....residents are being asked to evacuate....I wonder how this may affect the wildlife in the area. There was a report I read on the BFRO where a person saw a BF checking out a landslide along Highway 50. I think BF's are just as curious about natural disasters as we are???

The smoke in the valley today was so thick, the sun was an orange ball all day. Losing this habitat has got to make some animals move someplace else.....

i was wondering the same thing.
the smoke was terrible today. i hope they get those fires contained soon. it's messing with my asthma. i was looking forward to a lovely sunset, but was so busy at work i missed it.

Man yes it was bad. Out at PAWS it made for some really weird lighting...seeing the sun as that orange ball all day was strange...but it was still warm today too. I know those fires must be displacing animals...I wonder where they go?

I drove across Hwy 4 (Ebbetts Pass) last night at midnight, then through the forest roads for about an hour going home the back way from Reno due to highway closures (50 and 88). We couldn't believe it, the only creatures we saw were to 'possums. Normally, at least some deer would have been seen, maybe a bear. They must have all gone miles away.....
