While looking around the BFRO site, I came across the "3 Best Pieces of Footage"
http://www.bfro.net/LMS/LMS.aspNow, the Patterson film without a doubt is the best, IMO.
But the Freeman video?
It was my understanding that this was likely a fake due to "convenience" of the filming as well as Freeman supposedly having 'filmed' another creature several years earlier and even made the same verbal comments (There he goes...) in a very similar filming scenario.
The Memorial Day Footage was studied and found that the creatures measurements were all within human ranges if I recall correctly. How does this equate to being one of the best pieces of footage?
Is the BFRO simply saying that out of all the stuff filmed thats alleged to be Sasquatch, that these are the best examples?
Im not trying to stir the pot or begin yet another BFRO bashing thread. Im simply asking about the evidence regarding the Freeman and Memorial Day Footage.

Both are simply inconclusive. All sorts of arguments have been made on both sides (real vs. hoax) but either way, there's not much compelling evidence either way. They're just not very good...

I cant speak for the BFRO but I think of all the videos out there, they are the ones that are the most debatable. Just about all other videos out there are proven hoaxes or look so stupid its really no debate as to their authenticity.
and FWIW I dont think asking questions like these should be taken as stirring the pot or bashing the BFRO. It can be any org that is looked at ,and critiqued and just because one is named more than others does not mean it is being picked on or singled out. It means it is the largest and most spoken of, thats all. Nothing personal against it, just the size and popularity. I would be honored if my org was mentioned that much in serious debate. One should not feel the need to put up a disclamer if the questions are honest. They who are critiqued should not take it too personally.

And yes, that is the coolest picture evAr!

Luxemburg was debated heavily and if I remember correctly the stills revealed a man
with a pack.
I still look at the PEI film and scratch my head. The intro to this film surfaced amist
George Karras' old message board very intriguing.
The memorial day footage is definately inconclusive and too much effort is put into
explaining the "rise" at the end. Exciting, believable and still no proof.
One of Paul Freeman's video's was definately hoaxed I think this is why the one that is inconclusive is written off is because of the first wild claims.
Same thing happened to Danny Sweeten in Texas. One was inconclusive but very inspiring and the second was obvious to most as faux.
Redwoods??? faux or rated "X"
The list goes on.........
I guess you could say to each his ( or her ) own.......

Could also be the funky chicken. The BFRO will report their definative decision on which dance it was sometime in 2010.

Edit - Its a joke people.

I'm not real turned on by the Freeman footage either, except for the "possible infant lift" part that you can see on SLMS. That's kinda weird, and unexplainable.

The ironic thing about that picture is the feud that erupted between the two actors in later years, due to the fact that they were both up for the role of Mitch on Baywatch. Eventually, Gary Coleman was the bigger man, and stepped out of the running.

I dont know if you were asking me, but Ill give you my thoughts on it.
I think it was hoaxed. I believe this for the very simple reason that when they showed the 'creature' coming down the mountain towards the camp, if they had waited about 5 minutes, we could have seen exactly what it was. Its frustrating if nothing else.

To me it looks simple like a hiker.

Seems to be popular in BFing.
Either they stop the camera or they waste all their film and when the animal shows up, they run out of film.

I think Patty and MD are real.
I'm on the fence with Freeman, cause of the child pickup. ( ? )
I haven't seen the Marble Mtns. footage, except for the BFRO stills.
The Prince Edward Island footage was kinda interesting to me, but it was so fast. I don't know how it could be hoaxed to me, course I don't know much. How could they get an animal to come out on cue like that as they ran by? It looked like a gorilla to me because it went down on all 4's.
Luxemborg film, dumb.

AnotherPullTab, thanks for the info. I had heard he was questionable, but didn't know the particulars. Was it just a story he made up without casts or film, or was it another hoaxed film? I know it doesn't matter in the long run, if it was one hoax then the other can't be trusted. Just wondering.
