Not to far from Matagorda Sighting.

Wow! that's one of the more believeable accounts I've ever read!

Yeah, I read that too. Kinda funny though, that after the Bay City (Matagorda County) sighting that this guy reads about it and has his encounter near El Campo.

El Campo is just down the road from where the Bay City sighting took place.

Sounds kinda fishy to me. Like when one person "see's a UFO then all kinds of similar reports pop up suddenly."

I'm not buying it.

got the days wrong, he had the sighting the night before the story came out in the paper. the same report is on the bfro site and goes indepth as to the interview of a deputy who responded.

County resident bares witness to Bigfoot
El Camp Leader-News, El Campo, TX
Wednesday's Internet Edition, September 15, 2004
http://www.leader-news.com/story2.shtml
By JASON GIBBS - From Dallas to Brownsville and beyond, Bigfoot hunters are focusing their eyes on El Campo.
Since the Leader-News published a report of a sasquatch sighting in Matagorda County, an anonymous West Wharton County resident has reported peculiar goings-on just outside the city limits.
Last weekend, representatives from the Texas Bigfoot Research Center said they were contacted by a local family who said they were inspired by the newspaper report to call in their own recent experience.
“We received a good sighting report from an El Campo resident after they read the article,” said Craig Woolheater, a representative of the TBRC.
The sighting occurred just over a week ago, about 10 p.m. on Aug. 31, he said. The center is devoted to tracking reports from eyewitnesses who believe they have seen a large, ape-like mammal, roaming in fields and forests throughout the state.
Its existence has yet to be proven through scientific methods, but the center believes the creature to exist.
The center reported the following account just outside the city limits. The account –
which comes on the heels of a similar sighting in Matagorda County – can be found at the research center’s Web site at www.texasbigfoot.com.
According to the reportee – who, for their own reasons, chose to remain anonymous – “I was sitting out on the porch around 10 p.m. on Tuesday night. My dogs, a lab mix and a pit bull, started acting strange and growling.”
The reportee said they heard a noise coming from a darkened area near the house.
“It sounded like something heavy stepped on a piece of tin that is over there on the
ground,” they reported.
The woman summoned his husband, who grabbed his pistol and went to investigate.
“As my husband was coming out the door, our pit bull ran inside the house very scared,” the witness reported. “We stood there on the porch for a little bit when suddenly this grayish animal that looked like an overgrown monkey jumped up on the corner of a refrigerator that was lying on the tail end of my husband’s trailer.
“It was stooped over and very fast. My husband fired his pistol toward the ground just as (it) started to run off very fast.”
The sheriff’s department confirmed a deputy was summoned to an El Campo home along U.S. Business 59, near the Garden of Memories cemetery. The deputy was unable to locate anything suspicious and departed the scene about 20 minutes later.
The report states the creepy critter was “grayish and had a man-like face, but it’s nose was flatter than a human nose.” It was about five feet tall, they added.
According the center’s investigator, the deputy reported the male witness was “disturbed and shaken, but very sober and clear-minded,” at the time of the sighting.
“I know you’re going to think I’m crazy, but I am not and I have not been drinking whatsoever,” the witness reportedly told the deputy.

Yes I supposed you are right. All sightings are alleged, as they are not proven in a court of law. Sir if you would please absorb the information you are reading. You would know that the BFRO is working hard to give creditable reports. They did find and tract the original prints. That is how they found the toe print at the fence. The report on the BFRO sight still reads class A in the body of the report. The BFRO is doing what has to be done, to keep those who want the story killed appeased. There aim is to help the cause of Bigfoot not to be a smart mouth.

Jim IS "they" and "them" .... Hello???

I have "absorbed " the information..In fact I've absorbed more information than you'll ever be aware of... and as far as sightings go...well for one thing none of us can ever tell if its grandmother or whatsername we're talking to all you're doing is spreading further disinformation about what you apparently know very little about.

And sorry but a partial track does not a bigfoot make..

Revatex, who are the people you are claiming want "the story killed" or maybe I am misunderstanding something here?

The farmer who has the rice field. The one saying he was in the field that day.

So the blob in the picture was a farmer? or a farmer claims to have been in the field the day the sighting took place? I R confused.

A local crop consultant has informed investigators that there is a possibility that he was in the field on the day of the incident with chaps and rubber boots on. That being said, the track found at the fence line seemed to indicate that something with toes, a very wide foot, and a lot of weight walked up the bank. In addition, the crop consultant stated that he had no memory of any cars pulling up to the gate or honking the horn.

About what time of the day was the consultant in the field and did that time frame coincide with the time of the alleged sighting?
