Who will be attending the Texas Bigfoot Conference in October?
ouachita
If I can work out some schedule issues I will.
Wildman
I would loooove to go! I wish I could. sad.gif
bigstinkyfoot
I think I will be there. I am a family man with a lot of responsibilities. Sometimes I get sidetracked, but it is my intention to attend. Hope to meet some of you there, it will be my first.

I'm very close to deciding. I think I'll be going, which is quite a drop from my previous statements. For a while, I was sure I'd be there. It all depends on a few things. I guess I really need to figure this out pretty soon, eh?
Paul1968UK
I know I definitely won't be!

I have already used up all my wife allocated `fun' Priviledges for this year!
bipto
What you do in your private time is not of our concern... new_whistle.gif
JWBrown33
Damn! I have to work that weekend but I still have vacation time left. Anyone in the southeast thinking road trip?
JWBrown33
i just reviewed who is going to be there and I really need to go to this since I can't afford "other" events. MK, Chilcutt, Richard Knoll, Lee Murphy...probably going to be the best one yet. thumbup.gif

If I can get someone to ride with me I'll go...I'm heading west out of North Carolina down I-40 through Tenn. all the way to Little Rock and hit the 30 to the event.

I look forward to meeting some of you folks in the flesh. Here is a photo of me so say hey if you see me =)

At the moment.....i intend to be there................
bigstinkyfoot
What exactly can I expect other than the speakers, if I do go? It will be my first. How many people are expected to attend? Anyone know? Do most people who attend but are not local get a room, camp out?

If you attend the VIP dinner Friday night, you will not only be treated to an excellent catered BBQ dinner, but you will be able to speak with the speakers one on one. You might even be able to be seated next to one of them for dinner (they will probably be in demand). You will also be able to participate in a group discussion with all of the speakers on the legitimacy of the P/G film in particular and the evidence for Bigfoot in general.

On Saturday, there will be an auction of Bigfoot books and collectables, as well as 10 hours or so of presentations.

This is the 4th year for the event. In 2001, we had 150 people attend. In 2002, we had just over 250. Last year, we had 300+, and it was standing room only. We outgrew that venue, and have now moved to a location that can seat double that if need be. I am expecting (hoping for) 400 people.

Here are some comments about the previous years' events:

"The 2002 Texas Bigfoot Conference was the best damn Bigfoot conference I have ever attended." "Craig Woolheater's great Bigfoot Conference will make Jefferson the new annual mecca for serious and friendly researchers, hunters and the merely interested."
- Loren Coleman

"Kudo's to Craig Woolheater from the TBRC for all his hard work in putting on a well organized and exciting event. I had a blast and hope to see more people at these events in the future."
- Bobby Hamilton

"CRAIG -- WOW!!! -- just wanted to say "THANK YOU" for the wonderful weekend --YOU (and I am sure many others) did a FABULOUS job putting together this OUTSTANDING conference -- it was TERRIFIC!!!"
- Link Hullar

"What a fantastic job you did on the conference. In spite of the setbacks and changes, it went off beautifully. I heard nothing but accolades from the people who have been to so many of the other conferences that this was one of the best they had ever attended."
- D. L. Tanner

"The conference to me ranks as tied for number one with Ray Crowe's 2000 conference in Portland, Oregon among all the conferences I have attended so far. Congratulations to Craig Woolheater and all the Texas gang. Craig could take that meeting anywhere in the world, to any audience and stand tall. We were in Bigfoot land and it was great. Also the Texas group seemed to have friendship and unity among themselves. Nice people to be with. Thanks for all your hospitality."
- Fred Grimnitz

The rooms in town are going pretty fast. There is a motorcycle run that same Saturday.

Fouke, AR, home of the Fouke Monster, is only an hour away.

Thank you, JayleeD and ecwool. You answered all my questions. I am going to do my best to be there. About 90% sure I will go at this point. See you there.

Craig! Awesome lineup this year!!! thumbup.gif

And the VIP stuff is cheap as well, no where near like $1200 or something! thumbup.gif It looks bleak (being able to come), but I really hope I can make it!

Is the conference going to be taped/recorded?

Is the conference going to be taped/recorded?

Yes, we will be shooting video of the Conference. We have a compilation highlights DVD & VHS of the 2002 Conference. We are readying the 2003 Conference DVD's, which will be the full presentations of the speakers available individually. We will be offering the same kind of package for this year's event.

Well, those members of the BFF that will be coming in Friday night for the dinner and special presentation will have no trouble meeting up. I can also set up a special BFF section in the reserved seating for the Conference on Saturday.
AnotherPullTab
That would be great, Craig. I dont know if I am making the dinner on Friday as that specifically depends on funds. I do know that no matter what, I will be there at the opening on Saturday. My wife is coming too if thats ok.

:-)
Tirademan
My stupid brother has to get married THAT weekend and, of course, I'm the Best Man...DOH! icon_bang.gif

tirademan

ps- Craig, got the time (and double sticky tape) to put together another Patty blow-up? I made the one that was at the Symposium at Willow Creek last year. See Chris Murphy's photo attached...

I've got one printed out here, but it needs to be trimmed and taped together...which is not all that easy! Let me know if you want it and I'll mail the (many) 11x17s out to you.

APT, sure your wife is welcome. This event is open to the general public. Presently, the reserved seats are part of the VIP package that includes the dinner Friday night. If any BFF members are planning to come in Saturday for the Conference only, email me and we can discuss arrangements for reserved seating instead of general admission.
ouachita
OK, I'm in! Check's in the mail........really guys, the check IS in the mail! Come on, I ain't kidding, I really did put it in the mail today! Seriously! laugh.gif

See you all there!

I will see you there. Hopefully I will find something to cast this Saturday to bring to the conference.
ecwool
If BFF people are wanting to be seated together in the reserved section, I need to know who is coming by Oct. 10.
ouachita
BFF membership duly noted on the comference form. biggrin.gif

Should I email you about the reservation or just mention it here =)

new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif I'm planning on going. This will be my first conference and I'm really excited about it! I look forward to meeting everybody! Is anybody planning on camping out?
AnotherPullTab
Yeah, Ill be camping out at the hotel :-)

I do plan on doing some night work in some areas that have a historical record of BF sightings and other encounters.
bigstinkyfoot
I am planning on camping, but have not made reservations as of yet. I will be alone though. Would not mind finding a group of BFF folks to camp near. Where are you going to camp, Emily?
