I've read a lot of posts and articles on sites questioning what is the best food to put down near camera traps etc. to attract bigfoot. The suggestions have ranged from a wide variety of fruits, vegetables and meats and even chemical pheremones of possibly close relatives, evolutionarily speaking. Bigfoot seems to be a level or two above most animals when it comes to intelligence, he'd have to be to escape all the attempts people have made to get better proof on his existence. Lower intelligent creatures are easily caught on camera traps etc. due to the fact that the bait is something they are drawn to instinctively to continue surviving. They tend to find food that is on their diet, and eat it regardless of where it is found.
Now Bigfoot on the other hand, IF he is of a higher intelligence, may not be so likely to go after that food simply because it's not located where it should be located, or possibly even presented the way it should be. He may not eat apples strewn around, because he may have the ability to realize or even RATIONALIZE, that apples can only be there naturally if there are apple trees around. He notices there are no apple trees, but there are apples, something is wrong and instead of eating them, he avoids them. The same goes with exotic foods that are not found in the specific area where he is located. Bananas would not be good if he has never seen a banana before, and why risk something if there is plenty of natural foods to eat?
Is anyone aware of someone trying to attract bigfoot, by displaying something that they would have no idea of what it is? It seems that bigfoot is a very curious creature, with many sightings reporting that bigfoot was watching them, or he was seen watching activity of people in the area. Could it be that he is attracted by unfamilar sounds, colors, lights, smells, motions? I would think, being of higher intelligence, he may be, in an effort to figure out what it is. Remember the old saying, "Curiosity killed the cat" and maybe using unconventional methods will give us the best opportunity for further evidence.
