Sasquatch Odyssey: The Hunt for Bigfoot , I have never seen this video. Is it worth the time and trouble of finding it to put in my Bigfoot collection?

Hello Leemon,
Yes, I would get it if I were you. I have the VHS and am glad I got it. Good interviews with Peter Byrne, Grover Krantz, Rene Dahinden, and John Green. Also Ray Crowe, Robert Michael Pyle and others and also some interviews with sighting whiteness.

I agree, Oak Ape. It is an excellent video. I liked that part where Peter Byrne is showing how Bigfoot slinks through the woods and doesn't show himself. It was good! I taped it when it was on TV several years ago, for some reason it won't play anymore. .
Michael somebody Pyle. That was the name of the writer I was trying to find. He wrote that book that tells so much about the bigfoot researchers. Very good. I got it at a library. It profiles a number of researchers and gives a little insight on their lives.

Robert Michael Pyle, Where Bigfoot Walk's I am rereading it for at least the tenth time right now. He seem's like a cool guy to hug a tree with. I love that book but get so irratated with some of his comment's about Hunter's, Motorcycles and generally anything he doesn't agree with. I don't hunt or ride mototcycles but alot of people do and they are good people. He say's about some hiker's that were within earshot of him. "It's there wood's as much as it is mine, but I would like to bite there head's for disturbing my reading of A planet in Balance. Alright he didn't say anything about (real winner) Gore's book, but come on. Oh that's right I was praising this book. It is a good book.

This is a first class production by Gryphon Productions of West Vancouver, B.C. I know them well and they informed me this morning that Sasquatch Odyssey will be available on DVD next month so you might want to hold off purchasing just yet.
I will keep members posted as soon as I hear of availablity. Along with Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science, it's the best made production out there and to see the Four Horsemen of Squatchdom in one production is to have a record for posterity.

But it is only going to be available through Amazon.com...is it not?

In response to GrandCherokee's question, they have not made a decision yet where it will be offered. Amazon.com would be likely, but they may also market it through their own website
http://www.gryphonproductions.com/.
I discussed some options with them this morning and they have made no final decisions yet. This is a pristine copy taken off the original digital betacam master with AC3 audio. It will also have extra scenes that are not in the original video.

They are hoping to have some ready for the Texas conference.
This video is a must have for researchers, although it sets a tone of dismal failure on the part of Sasquatch research to date (at least for when it aired).
Peter did an excellent job with this production! The DVD can only make it better and there will be some great extras included.
I highly recommend it. Put it on your self and play it often.

ok - it has been 4+ years but I wanted to make a comment regarding something in this dvd I noticed just recently and I was curious to see if anyone else noticed this..there is a segment where Rene Dahinden is talking about the PGF and is attempting to demonstrate the walk of Patty..the interesting thing is that as he walks he swings his arms in sync with his legs, that is his left arm moves forward as his left leg moves forward and vice versa, which of course is not how humans walk nor is it how Patty walked. Considering Dahinden's association with the film I would have thought a detail like this would not have been so misconstrued (sp) by him.
Thoughts?
