So here we are in the heart of Hoosier land, we've had two brief encounters here, but would like to go to an area considered a hotspot. We have a friend who lives just outside Sacramento CA who's invited us to come out anytime we'd like.

Question is... WHERE in Northern Cali could we go that's accessible in practical terms, that is also known for regular Sas activity? I don't know when we can, or IF we will, but I'm just curious to know what those of you "out there" say about it.

My experience was 18 years ago, so I do not know if it is an area still frequented by bigfoot. Also, I no longer live in Ca., and haven't been there for many years, so my directions will not be highly detailed. Find the town of Feather Falls, and get on the highway that goes from there directly to the Nevada state line. Drive about 1/2 way to Nevada, and look on the left side for a large, wide logging road. There used to be signs (on paper plates) all along the way advertising the "cascade bar". Go up that road until a deep ravine appears on your left, and park. Make camp right there on the right. The ravine is probably now filled with large trees, as it was clearcut and replanted about 18 years ago. Wait until a full moon in the small hours of the morning. I would try fall, as that was when my experience occured.
If the "Cascade bar" signs are not there, ask the locals how to get there. That is (or was) a few miles from where my sighting was. Also, the area is called the "seven falls area". Cascade bar was or is a very small beer joint out in the middle of the woods. Coat and tie optional (kidding).
A year later my brother and I went to bluff creek and camped a week to try to spot one (bigfoot). We saw and heard nothing out of the ordinary. No bigfoot, or bigfoot sign.
Keep us informed?

Lake Tahoe, Sugar Pine Point campground then hike into desolation wilderness, or Del Norte county, Cresent City area, or De Norte campground.

I would say try the far north end of the state between Redding and Eureka - Hwy 299 in the Trinity Alps. It is beautiful country and worth the trip even if you don't find what you are looking for. There are accessable campgrounds and plenty of wildlife. Good luck!

Go to the happy camp area, near the oregon-california state line. Vast wilderness up there.
