After my first Bigfoot sighting at the age of 8, I went to my local library to see what they had on the subject. I recall this thick paperback book with a black and white picture of a darkened forest on the covers. This book had extensive information on all sorts of sightings and encounters, including detailed information about men who had camped out in a log shelter while and spending nights hearing BF roaming around their shelter. in the center were various black and white photographs relating to the different cases related in the book. It wasn't On the Track of Bigfoot... I found that one to be disappointing. This book was probably one of the most comprehensive that I had ever read on the subject... it might have been printed in the mid 70's.
Does this book ring a bell?

Is this it? The first half is good, but the second half kinda gets

I believe the story you talk about may be where the Sierra sounds first originated.

Is the last photo in the photo section just an aerial pic of forest?
I do believe that's it. One of the Pics in the book should be of the guys in California with a cardboard cutout. I remember reading the Sierra encounters.
Yeah the last half got involved with UFO sightings, and something i recall about Bigfoot supposedly stacking rocks into pyramid shapes.
The funny thing is that I was just coming back to this thread to say "I think I may have found it: Bigfoot by Alan Berry and B. Ann Slate."
I have to say, that if what what was described in the Sierra encounters is true, then that gives me a bit of hope. My close-up encounter was of one baring it's teeth and growling at me and my friend.

Apparently I don't have permission to start my own topic, so I'll have to hijack this one.
When I was about 8 also I read a Bigfoot book that had an incredible wealth of sightings in it. The book was fantastic and had many reports I have never read since. The book itself was a light blue in colour with a white Sasquatch print on the front. I seem to recall it being by John Green, But am not sure and I can't remember the title. Does anybody know the name of this book?

Wow..that's it exactly the bottom one. I was starting to think I was nuts, couldn't find it anywhere. Thanks for digging up that info for me!
Do you happen to know what year that book was published. By that I mean the specific one in the photo, I'm trying to track down that exact copy for nostalgic reasons, But apparently this book was reprinted several times with several different covers.

Scotto, How many pages does your copy have? I remember this book being rather long for an 8 year old, somewhere around 200 pages. All the editions I have found though claim to have less than 100 pages.
