there was an earthquake near chicago and ottawa illinois monday morning measuring 4.1.i was woundering if anyone has insight on bigfoot activity before or after earthquakes. cali and the pacific nw has lots of earthquakes big and small and many many sightings so i wounder how the big guy reacts to such things. has any study on sightings and earthquakes been done or do u think he even cares as the earth moves under his feet.

This is a really good question. Most animals know when a earthquake is coming and react to it in different ways. I would think a Bigfoot would want to be out in the open when one came so nothing would fall on it. In say a cave or something like it would be about the worst place to be. Being in a forest might be ok as long as no large weak branches was above. But I would say the safest place for any animal in the woods would be in a clearing.
Sort of along with this question is something I have thought about for years. How about Volcano's ? In the NW they have them and I wonder if they can tell when they are going to play like when Mount St. Helens did.

i have always wounderd how many sasquatch died during the mount st helens eruption as this is a prime habitat and the explosion was so devestating to anything in the blast zone. all kinds of people and animals died instantly up to and past 20 miles in the blast direction and the dome.

I'm guessing that the elder Bigfoots said something like "get the flock out of here" !

Since California and the PNW have earthquakes pretty much on a daily basis I don't see how we could draw any conclusions. Maybe if we limited to earthquakes exceeding a certain value on the R Scale.. but where would we start, how small do they have to be to have no effect, and where would a dramatic effect start. I'd guess that Bigfoot has gotten as use to them as most everyone and everything else that lives here, and simply shrugs them off.

This is my first post on this forum. But i have pondered that question myself, along with the question of forest fires and bigfoot activity. I'm pretty sure that everyone here has seen the questions and answers section on the bfro website and other sites. One particular question i found interesting was can satellite imaging be an aide in hunting for bigfoot? and the answer that was given was yes that satellite imaging could be used but that it would be very costly, also the locations to zoom in on came into question. Well here is my idea, and you can take it for what it is worth, why not use satellites to zoom in on (or around the general area) of forest fires and earthquakes? After a few tries I am pretty sure you would get a clear enough picture of a bigfoot on the move. But if it is left up to the government (who control most of those satellites) they would rather spend 3 billion dollars on a satellite that goes to saturn where man will probably never set foot on in our lifetime.
