While hiking, off trail in an Iowa county conservation area, I discovered an impression in a dry stream bed. It had the shape of a large foot, it measured thirteen inches from the tip of the first toe to the end of the heel. With a width of six and a half inches crossing the ball of the foot, and three and one quarter inches at the heel. The impression had been there for an unknown amount of time, because there were a few fresher tracks that superimposed the impression. This small track was most likely made by a squirrel or some other mammals. Yet, despite the amount of time between the track was made and it was discovered, a fair amount of detail could still be seen. The general out line of the foot, heel depth, and what appeared to be some toe marks.
