Full Version: Sasquatch in the city?

Three days ago police here chased a 200 lb black bear through a heavily populated area of the city before being forced to kill it (wouldn't go up a tree so they could tranquilize it). This is a city of about 700,000, and the bear would have had to go through about 3 miles of it to get to the place where it was killed. The place in question was along the moderately treed Red River which runs north from the U.S., through Winnipeg, and empties into Lake Winnipeg about 40 miles north of the city. I also know someone who sighted a cougar along the same river about half a mile south of the city. Given that the area is heavily populated, this is highly unusual. Have there ever been instances where people have reported sasquatch sightings several miles into a city (where there are rivers present)?

Well the Xfiles touched on this subject one time I remember also. They left it at sort of a Nathanial type of people living in the forest. And they would go into town some times to eat out of Dumpsters. At the end of the show they had thought they had them all. It was a woman that at the end was the main one. They figured the man was killed or something and she was trying to find things to eat. At the very end of the show they showed a young girl in a hole on the ground with humans walking close to her on a forest trail. It was a great show as it showed just how things could live close to modern life without being known about.

I have seen a few different reports of Bigfoot spotted in dumpsters and other such things. If they are like a lot of wild animals they will never pass on a free meal.
