Found this new bigfoot movie comming out called PRIMEVAL. no release date for it yet but still lokks pretty good.

Oh, it says FLICKERSCOPE; I thought for a second it was an adult film!

Boy, some real big names heading up this one, hope it doesn't settle to the bottom of the bargain rack to quick.

The film was originally intended to be shot on digital video. But when the producers weighed the costs of shooting digital and then processing it to look like film and actually shooting film, they found that shooting film was only a few thousand dollars more. They opted to shoot on Super 16 to give the film more quality and credibility than other low-budget genre films like it.

As long as it entertains me I'll like it. Its just a movie after all. And judging by some of the pictures I've seen in this thread, mainly the last one, I'll at least be entertained for a while. I'm hoping that they show the bear vs. BF rumble. And a better suit then the one in "sasquatch". The BF suit in that sorry excuse for a movie looked as if BF had fought off some lawn mowers.

Wait until mid-June or early July and another Bigfoot film is coming out called "Colorado's Bigfoot: The Monster of Lime Creek". To the best of my understanding it sports an all MALE cast. This flick is a "spoof / tribute/ comedy" to all those 70's Bigfoot movies with some social commentary in it. From what I have seen this film will be going directly to video or DVD-R. If I find a web link I will post it...

Whoa!!! Just downloaded and watched the trailer. That's one p.o.'ed BF! They certainly have the background music down. BF is running wide open and throwing people, etc.

I've always loved campy in the woods group of people get slaughtered by someone or something type horror movies, but hearing the music and seeing the fx, this one might be a little bit above "camp". I'm going to buy this one whenever it comes out, anyone know when?

I will definately be waiting for the release of this movie. I personally liked SASQUATCH. I was dissapointed in the actual suit. But I liked the movie.

I couldn't stand myself so I tried asking one of the "stars" of this movie if he knew via email when the release date would be. This was his response:

What is the release date?

One of my biggest interest in this movie is to see just how well their Bigfoot looks. From the trailer it looks like to me that they used digital editing to add in it. If that is the case it just may look very real and could be better than most films on the topic.

I read on the website that they did alot of digital fx with the "creature", even in some places reworking the head completely with fx. I think basically what I read they had a base costume that they used and then digitally enhanced it and gave alot of references from other movies like Titanic that the guy had worked fx on.

One of the coolest things about this movie is that they are actually showing the BF in daylight, and are not just going the easy fx route and keeping the creature in the shadows and in the dark of night. I hate when a movie supposedly has a great monster, yet you never get to actually see it because the filmmakers keep the creature hidden by keeping it in dark settings. Sometimes it works better for suspense, but most of the time I just want to see the damn monster!

Yes! Like they did in Jurassic Part with T-rex for most of those scenes! Dark rainy camouflage!

Of course, a movie that wanted to be a little more "realistic" in their BF portrayal would have to keep the creature in the dark most of the time, since the general consensus is that Sasquatch is nocturnal. But all the "realism" is tossed out the window from the get-go of this film, so show me the monkey!

Sometimes the dark and creepy monster film works, and one of the best is Alien, IMO. That works because the alien is obviously unusual and you have a real need to see the whole thing and take it all in. With BF and dinosaur films however, the general public pretty much knows what to expect visually. So, creeping us out with an elusive creature might not have the same impact. So, the best way to go is show us the creature we expect to see, but make it do things we've never imagined. The twisting of the known can be just as frightening as the unknown, IMO.

My son and I watched the trailer several times and are excited about seeing the movie. However, the creature that is shown is often a FX added feature, much like the snake in "Anaconda". Which made me think: Since 1967(the P-G film), the best Hollywood can do with all of their technology and costume expertise is a computer-generated special effects creature? To me, this makes the P-G film even more credible.

And yes, what is better than Bigfoot and D-Cups?

Looks like another movie that's suppossed to be out in the wild, but looks to be out behind the local wal mart. But should be entertaining anyhow.

What you wanna bet this chick plays the part of a dumbass too? Every good horror movie just HAS to have a cute young thing in next to nothing, running through the woods in high heels. Then she turns her ankle or something equally as stupid so the brave man can save her or the monster can pounce on her. :rolleyes: Man, that really makes me want to spend my hard earned dollars to sit through a couple of hours of this crap. And, what about the look of the "monster". That does a whole hell of a lot for this subject doesn't it? Big ole spit-drippin fangs ready to tear you to shreads. Bet he's got these gigantic claws too.
