Nothing personal against you. You seem to be a decent guy. But it still seems to me that the management of ArtistFirst isn't very grateful for the audience they are able to garner.

The link works fine! I like the "purring like a cat" noise it was making...you can just imagine this hungry bigfoot kneeling by the water purring like a contented tabby watching the big trout slowly swim by and the -swoosh!- got one!
I'm sure it was a hair raising experience for the guy! and then to have his family not believe him!!

I did noticed that they are "advertising" the final show date on their web site. Maybe they would rather quit than appologize. How can they justify having the great show they had last night, then get all pissy because they caught flack over having "the unmentioned one" as a guest? Go figure.

I have noticed that Tom C.'s been working hard to have a second live guest for these last remaining shows...and that's a great line-up that we're looking at for the next 4 weeks...

Dunno -- I think we might be cutting off our noses to spite our faces if we let one (obviously immature) person's rant prevent us from hearing some exceptional programs. It's like thumbing your nose at the likes of John Green or Peter Byrne just because you despise the jackass who puts the acts together.
No, I wouldn't give the show a dime until whoever it was that wrote that sick post gets around to making an apology -- but this subject is too dear to my heart to give way to any knee-jerk reaction that would serve only to deprive myself of pure enjoyment.
I don't pretend to speak for anyone else, though -- this is the kind of thing you really have to decide for yourself. There are products out there that I refuse to buy because I hate the *##@@! commercials, but only when I have no real personal attachment to the product in the first place.
Let's face it, I'm just too dang selfish to force myself to miss a good bigfoot show, with a guest I look up to, just because I'm pissed off at the show's brass.
If I thought Long's book had anything in it worth reading I'd probably buy it, in spite of the fact that the man turns my stomach (he's not much better than a grave robbing ghoul, IMHO) -- but all the reviews I've read from people whose opinions I trust lead me to believe the thing is 90 percent fiction anyway.

Let's face it, I'm just too dang selfish to force myself to miss a good bigfoot show, with a guest I look up to, just because I'm pissed off at the show's brass.
If I thought Long's book had anything in it worth reading I'd probably buy it, in spite of the fact that the man turns my stomach (he's not much better than a grave robbing ghoul, IMHO) -- but all the reviews I've read from people whose opinions I trust lead me to believe the thing is 90 percent fiction anyway.

No, I wouldn't give the show a dime until whoever it was that wrote that sick post gets around to making an apology -- but this subject is too dear to my heart to give way to any knee-jerk reaction that would serve only to deprive myself of pure enjoyment.
I don't pretend to speak for anyone else, though -- this is the kind of thing you really have to decide for yourself. There are products out there that I refuse to buy because I hate the *##@@! commercials, but only when I have no real personal attachment to the product in the first place.

Well, to each their own, but for some reason I think I will be able to get along just fine without listening to the show.
The guests, I have no problem with..indeed, I have a great deal of respect for SOME of the guests...it's the folks who work for the show, who have not shown and ounce of respect for their very audience, who are in need of a wake up call.
I say folks, plural, because if this was simply a matter of a single rogue individual..then an opologie would have been up and out the next day.
Maybe I am alone in this..but I will respond with essentialy the same message every time an update is put up here..just so new foks who may drop in know exactly what they are supporting in listening to the program....
If nothing else, Tom himself could issue an oppology on behaf of the show..he has ample time to post updates, afterall.
Ahhh...every once in a while, a good vent full of ritious indignation feels quite good....

That, I think Jaylee, is why this just rubs me wrong..I DO work in and with the public, and I know how you should treat your customers...and doing something even remotely along this line would get me SO fired it isn't even funny..not to mention, like you say, the actualy results it would have on my customer base!

Well honestly Tug, if that is the way they intend to treat the listening audience...then I personaly am quite happy that they are quitting!
They deserve every bit of headache and condemnation they get, be it public or private..and if they can't take it, and respond in a reasonable manner, then good riddence.
As to the relative merits of going public or keeping this private...I don't think my going public with my feelings is "whineing" in any way..
They are, after all a media company...so by the nature of their business, THEIR response was quite public...so mine will continue to be so as well.
Again...I think it's just because I work in retail, and hear every day about how bad customer servic has gotten...that when customer service THIS attrocious rears it's head, I think it should be smoked out.
IF there really is a viable audience and thus, customer base...someone else will come along to fill the gap. If not, then I suspect this was all just a ruse to come up with an "out" for when they were going to cancell the show anyway.

When a radio program can stir up that much controversy and still not make ratings hay out of it. Then they do not belong in the business!
