The movie Sasquatch, starring Lance Henriksen, was stated as being based on a ture story. Does anyone know the where and when of this true story?

I have seen the movie 2 times but did not know it was based on a real encounter. I would like to read the original encounter also.

Yeah, well TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE was also based on a true story. However, the real story bore virtually no resemblance to the movie(s).

I understand that the movie was probably very different than the real incident. That does not stop me from wondering what actually happened.

OMG Justin, it's horrible... but in a funny way. You ever sit down and watch any of those hokey movies on SciFi when there's nothing else to do, and laugh at them? Well, treat this one in the same way and it's actually somewhat entertaining.

Ha! That's exactly how I watched this one! I was in the mood for a cheesy horror flick and this was on, so I watched it. I found some parts of it disjointed and hard to follow. I don't know if the movie was like that or if it was the result of sloppy editing by the Scifi Channel. Then, of course, there was the bigfoot with a serious case of mange. All in all, I resommend not spending any money on it. It's hoaky as hell.

It's bad bad bad!!! I've seen it 2x on Sci-fi Channel. It starts out pretty creepy with the "team" being stalked, the sounds, the smells, etc. but then gets a little farfetched with BF dragging the plane off so it wouldn't be found and then of course the creature costume was terrible.
Catch it on TV for free if you can.....Sci-fi Channel will usually recycle their movies every 2 months or so.
