That Travis County report is very interesting. That area of the "hill country" has alot
of caves and canyons. Lots of deer too!! I read in an old book about a sighting
around "Bee Caves" in Travis County about the turn of the last century. (Just a
stones throw away from Spicewood.) Seems some boys were chased by a Bigfoot and
the local adults came out with guns, but nothing came of it. It seems the area
around the "Highland Lakes", Lake Travis, LBJ, Inks, Buchanan has had a few
reports over the years. One report in Texas Fish and Game a couple of years ago about
some campers on Lake Buchanan hanging out "chicken" which they were using for bait for their
trotlines getting stolen by a tall creature. They hung it way up high so coyotes and such
couldn't get it, and the next morning it was stolen by the creature! Anyway, always fun to see
reports from Central Texas!!

People have probably read this, but we lived in Eldorado, Texas at one point. I did report this to Texas, Bigfoot and spoke to an investigator a couple years back.
The details are pretty hazy anymore, I grilled him(my son) for what he remembered and put it in the report too but here is the main of the subject.
It was about 9 pm (?) one night and my son called me into his room, hysterical. (He was only maybe 5, possibly 6 at the time?) He said something looked in the window at him and he thought it was one of the teenagers in the neighborhood teasing him with a mask. Until it "smiled". I kind of get the idea that whatever it was bared its teeth at him. Anyway, for years afterwards, he called it a "troll" ( No,lol, not THAT kind!! laugh.gif ) but in talking we have often wondered at the possibility of being some kind of Sas....hairy and he said the teeth kind of come over the bottom lip, like a bulldogs. I had seen something moving away from the window and in the interest of protecting my kids (or stupidity, you can choose wacko.gif ) I did go outside but nothing was there. I dont remember any smell. But of course, as I said, my memory is a little blurred with years passing.

Thank you! Like I said, years pass and details fade. Like the smell, I vaguely remember us having a problem with skunks that year but I dont recall odor RIGHT NOW, though apparently that wasnt the case at the time of the report.. new_blushsmiley.gif unsure.gif Makes me feel sort of stupid, old age cant be setting in already, lol.

Once when I was in my teens (and at the height of my BF boogey-man stage) I was babysitting at a house out in the country, surrounded by woods. I'd put both kids to bed, and after about an hour the baby, who was maybe 15-18 months old at the time, started crying hard, like a frightened cry. I went into her room and she was standing at the crib, pointing to the window, which did not have a curtain over it and was open a few inches to let a breeze in. The fact that she was pointing to the window freaked me out on it's own, but then I got a whiff of skunk... and I'm SURE that's all it was, and she probably had a bad dream, but you know who was scared to death for the rest of the night!! laugh.gif

Maggie, you must have been pretty unnerved by your son's reaction to whatever it was he saw.
