Screamer
I had just watched a copy of Arthur C. Clarke's Mysterious World - Vol. 3 - The Missing ApeMan/Dragons, Dinosaurs and Giant Snakes ('89).

On the tape there is an interview with Whatcom County police Sgt. Ken(ny) Cooper, he plays a tape of a Sasquatch scream that he reports "All of Whatcom County could hear it." After playing the scream he says "We took that recording ... we sent it into the lab to have it analyzed, and it came back that there's no metallic noise on the recording indicating it wasn't made by a machine. And they said there's no voice ... no human has the vocal cords to throw high pitches and low pitches at the same time that was coming from that."

After watching the episode I did a search on yahoo! and found this article...

My question is ... what do any of you think really happened? On the tape he gives a completely different story (never mentioning seeing the creature) and what appears to be another location. Has anyone else here seen a copy of this episode? I have tried to find an AVI of the Sasquatch scream he recorded, but have found nothing. I see a lot of other screams featured on different sites, and was wondering why this one is never mentioned? Was it revealed as a hoax? Does anybody know?? :help:

You're right, it reads like a totally different event or events. Perhaps he did tell them the whole story, but the show edited out that part.
