Tirademan
I know there are a couple of threads regarding this, but I didn't want this reply to "get lost" in the chain.

I'm not sure where I found these, but here are the Seattle Daily's articles about the Ape Canyon incident.

I really enjoyed reading that. Thanks, Tirademan. I find the part about hypnotism especially interesting. Not that I totally believe that BFs have the ability to hypnotize their prey either. I have had "weird" experiences and feelings in BF areas. Three times actually, that I can say really stand out. It's really hard to tell others of these things because then you're labeled as a "crack-pot" or some other such label. I dont know what ability they may have. It could be infrasound (sounds the most logical) or ESP or something, I dont really know but for anyone that wants to listen, they do have some kind of ability that can cause you fear, stop you in your tracks, or give you that "watched feeling". I think it is just something that you have to experience to believe. FWIW, anyway. wink.gif

Thanks for posting that article, Tirademan!! new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif
I like your contributions to the BFF.... wink.gif of course!

and, Angie, I will take your word for it. I haven't had the close encounter I'm trying for (yet) but your words echo the impressions of others documented in many of the sightings and encounters reports. That must be intense! Thank YOU for sharing with us, too!

Interesting point:
The follow up visit to the cabin finds "200 or more large rocks around and on" the structure.

Missing point:
Fred Beck. Guess he didn't speak to that reporter. new_whistle.gif

the Native American viewpoint:
Tsiatko. (hey, John!) Our bigfoot or sasquatch. Just come around when they need something. Didn't fully develop into people, more animal. and the story of the native hunter on Vancouver Island. That is a cool story. Albert Ostman-like.
He left all his stuff and barely made it back to the village never to venture out hunting and trapping again.

That's great Tirademan. I spent a lot of time looking for that article myself awhile back.

Sometimes I think the hypnosis/weird feeling sensation could be a natural reaction to something we have seen but cannot fully register at that very moment.

Of course with my outdoorsmanship I probably should keep my opinions to myself.

Very interesting, thanks!

biggrin.gif Hey, I guessed awhile back, in a different thread, that maybe they can do ventriloquism! Remember?? It's the way they can have sounds coming from all sides----And people seem to think it is more than one out there or that the bigfoot can move really, really fast. {Read the last 2 paragraphs of the last article.}
