Maybe Bigfoot got sick after reading Greg Long's book, The Making Of Bigfoot!! 
I remember reading a story about 15 years ago where a guy was taken by Bigfoot, but Bigfoot got into his back-pack and ate his "plug" of chewing tobacco........Bigfoot then got really sick and while Bigfoot was rolling arond on the ground, sick....the guy ran away.
