Missing last night's show due to it cutting in and out was bad enough. PLEASE, PLEASE ArtistFirst, get the darn thing fixed before April 13th. mellow.gif

I'm glad to see this thread this morning.....
I was going to start one to see who else had problems.....

I did hear Tony ask if J.G. or J.M. had websites....? biggrin.gif no....
"then how do you get the word out?"
J.G. "Well, I've written a couple of books..." wink.gif
J.M. something along the lines of "I'm out of bigfooting. I was active for nine years from '63 to '72"

and then the gist of what came through in those 5 to 20 second blurbs seemed to be all about the Patterson/Gimlin film and site examination...

the name DeAtley was audible briefly....

then I heard the part about Roger Patterson claiming his feet didn't smell and he had Jim smell his boots to prove it! huh.gif

Jim referred to his (Roger's) personality as that of a "carnie" and mentioned something about Roger's herbal supplements....

What a bust!! yeah, they went to a new provider for their audio feed three shows ago...Don Monroe's 1st...and it wasn't bad....but the load last night crippled it!!
I'll send an email to Scott and Tony, too.

DEAR BIGFOOT FAN,

THURSDAY 4-1-04  AT 10 PM EST - WE WILL REBROADCAST THIS WEEK'S BIGFOOT CENTRAL SHOW WITH JOHN GREEN & JIM McCLARIN

TUESDAY - WE NOW DISCOVERED - WHERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH OUR SIGNAL. IT HAS NOW BEEN FIXED.  OUR NEW STREAMING PROVIDER HAD OUR BIT RATE TOO HIGH FOR MOST 56 K MODEMS, AND EVEN SOME HIGHSPEED CONNECTIONS.  THIS CREATED DROPOUTS AND CONSTANT RE- BUFFERING.  WE HAVE CORRECTED THE PROBLEM, AND APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE.

Listen for McClarin to say -

Patterson demonstrated how he (Roger) thought Bigfoot walked. Patterson believed it swung it's arms so widely to be able to have such a long stride.

McClarin said he was able to recognize the filmsite, when h first visited, because he had seen the film in Yakima.

Also said he was shown, by Ray Wallace, a piece of a movie (notes get a little sketchy here) showing a man in a suit - ("Shorty" Wallace, Ray's brother) - the "creature" moved in a jerky manner. As did the image of McC in his movie recreation.

McClarin said at the time of the recreation he was about 6'-5 1/4" tall and only left tracks 1/8"-1/4" deep in the sandbar... compared to the tracks Patty left behind, which were at least an inch deep.

Seemed as if both thought the Long book to be full of BS.

I think they were trying to do good by playing back to back to back BFC's, but all they ended up doing was confusing everyone...
JayleeD
That's for sure! And, I'm confused enough without their help. wacko.gif

Hey! they're trying...and they thought they were being nice by playing an extra show after the mix-up....
I heard back from them and they thanked me for the email, because at that point (7:00 pm Pacific) they had not realized their error. They thought they had said 9:00 pm Eastern for the replay and had actually (as we know) said 10. So, when they got the email, they checked their message, realized their mistake and replayed the show. Well, if you tuned in at 11:23 Eastern, you began to hear Craig Woolheater with Robert Morgan.

In fact, they plan to run a show from their archives after each live broadcast in the future....I think this is great and hope it won't lead to any confusion. They have an extensive archive...I've only been listening since the symposium, because Chester Moore, Jr. said he was going to be on...and so, anything from before that, or even some of the Fall shows, will be great to hear again.

That's the scoop! smile.gif try to look at the positive side.....more shows...and
Mike Rugg is next week's guest....he's the guy with the new Bigfoot museum opening soon in the Santa Cruz, CA area....but beyond that, he's been an avid follower of the Bigfoot phenomenon since the late 50's...when he was 7. He's pretty much been "into it" since Rene Dahinden got "into it".....he was at the symposium, had a children's activity/coloring book he created and he's an amazing artist...esp. in the Bigfoot realm. So, that's something to look forward to.

I'm not chewing them a new one for playing it twice and I get they're trying. I don't want them to think I'm ungrateful or anything. The problem (for me anyway) is I'm really busy and need to plan stuff out to annoying level. If I want to spend an entire hour watching a TV show or listening to the web or something, I need to know when it's going to happen. When it doesn't happen then, even though I've moved stuff around to be able to enjoy it, it gets me grumpy. When I think I missed it entirely, then I get really grumpy.

However, I heard it, so it's all good!

Don't be grumpy Bipto.... IT'S FRIDAY!

thumbup.gif I hear ya!!
I was real glad to get a nice email from them...they've been real cool with me since Oct., playing my bigfoot song every now and then and I got to know Scott Zelasko...."Z-man" and now am good friends with Tom Cousino.

I thinks it's a great media outlet for us.....to hear current interviews with people in this field.....although this was a little frustrating with first, the streaming audio problem and then the rescheduling mix-up.

Pretty good interview...a little hay-wire itself between the old associates....
I liked hearing about McClarin roaming around the Willow Creek/Bluff Creek area in '67 and '68 and hitch-hiking to get there, getting called by Al Hodgson on 10/21/67, having Rene D. be passing through town, going to Louse Camp and finding it empty, etc.....I enjoyed it. It was a great positive hour after all the Long/Korff crap.

Well, my mouth runneth over.....Mike Rugg will be good.... new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

I recorded the show as an MP3 file if anyone wants a copy. It's 64MB, which I can post on my iDisk for download - or I can cut it up into smaller segments.
