I am active outdoors, kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, and have plans for hiking this summer with a friend who has a cabin in the Black Hills. I even have spent 7 years in the Army National Guard and am very comfortable with my land navigation skills, but I have NEVER hunted in my entire 35 year old life. So excuse my ignorance about wildlife.

My question is as follows:

Given the correlation between Sasquatch and waterways and the previous history of sightings in SD, south of the recent ND sightings, is it possible that a family group is using this river valley system as a corridor?

If so, then would they head North in the summer and South in the winter following a particular food supply? or vise versa? (The ND sightings being in mid winter and the SD sitings occuring in the late summer.)

I would appreciate any information on the possible migratory habits of this animal that some of you more experienced members could provide. Thanks.

Could they be using the waterways as a corridor? More than likely they probably are. But, as to when, where and why, that's all open to speculation. If you had enough sighting data from that area you might be able to extrapolate something but that's usually the problem, not enough info to form a decent hypothesis.

Here's a link to a thread from last year on the topic - http://www.bigfootforums.com/index.php?sho...60&hl=migration

and a link to a news story from last week, from the Lake Oswego, OR Review, in which author discusses your question. http://www.lakeoswegoreview.com/article/2513
