Over the past several years of following the phenomena of Bigfoot, Yeti, Sasquatch, etc. The conference/seminar/symposium have become the in-vogue attraction for the total Sasquatologist. The chance to rub elbows with other researchers and interested individuals and raise a few ducats for the cause. But I've noticed these attractions have become almost like political rallies, razing their opponents and often loosing sight of the original intent which is bringing legitimacy and respect to a rather nonlinear subject often associated with crazies. The Flesh and Blood vs. The Paranormalist. However, there is a rather well written individual (Robert Guttilla) who has in my opinion, successfully associated the two without really endorsing either, he leaves that to the reader. An open minded individual for sure.

Is the article you're talking about online somewhere? Do you have a link?

Here's a Google search link. Don't have time to read anything yet, but there looks to be several links.

Hi Ben! I hope you don't think some of the fun we (I) are/am having at someone else's expense is in any way meant to ridicule the idea that Bigfoot is or is not paranormal. In my case, I derive pleasure right now by ridiculing the person for calling me and my friends a bunch of idiots, "ship of fools", etc... he deserves it. I for one am not convinced of anything other than the creature's existence and that this creature must have above-average intelligence to be able to avoid detection for so long. Beyond that, hey, your guess is as good as mine... I really would enjoy a discussion regarding all of the possibilities of exactly what the reality of all this is...it's too bad some people just can't be reasoned with...

LOL,
No please fire that blooming idiot up. I've had the unpleasure of dealing with him in the past as well. I'm sure you can see I'm a rather prolific poster as well on his so-called forum.... NOT.
My post was simply pointing out the different camps and views in Sasquatch research and the highly charged opinions from both sides on the subject. Beckjord is not even a player when it comes to legitimate research. IMHO the best and brightest in the field is Ray Crowe, raycrowe@aol.com. He puts out an excellent monthly newsletter called the Track Record. Has no hidden agendas, requires no medication for psychiatric problems, and is genuinely liked in the Bigfoot community.
Take care

Thanks, RB. I was going to post something about how it was the messenger not the message but didn't get around to it. I personally am not of the opinion that bigfoot is supernatural or related to UFOs, but I'm also not going to call someone who believes that a nut or ban them from my site just because they believe that. In fact, I know two people who do and I like them both very much (but neither of them post here). All that stuff in the other threads was a direct result of who was saying it and how they said it...
