I aquired a copy of "The Legend of Boggy Creek" as of late and have watched it a few times. On initial reflection two things pop into mind:

1) The movie portrays a fellow being attacked in the bathroom of a house then later dragged off of the front porch by the Fouke Monster. He was then taken to the hospital in shock. Has anyone ever seen the medical reports relating to this claim? Results?

2) This is just an observation. There sure are a lot of Crabtree's in this movie.

Cheers,
Martin

Here's an interesting article that touches on the attack.

That was very enjoyable reading.
I could easily envision such mayhem happening if sightings occured regularly around a particular structure. All manner of the 'fringe' element would decend and turn the countryside into a circus.
After witnessing such a terrifying incident, in print, I cannot help but wonder how people , who actually went through such an experience ,(Or an experience like it ) would feel about their antagonist? Do you think that they are in a hurry to see the creature again for study? Or do you think that they are of the mind that the only good Bf is a dead one?

Good question.
I would think with that kind of experience, alot of people would be scared of their own shadow for awhile.A life changing experience to be sure.Geez, I remember watching this movie late at nights when I was a teenager and being scared to get up and go to the bathroom.
Kinda makes you wonder how you as an individual would react by seeing the creature.Would you run?Would you try to follow it?Would you freeze?I guess there are alot of variables. For example if it was at night and at close range with no gun, I would probably high tail it as fast as I could. However if it was in the daytime at a distance I would like to think the curiosity side of myself would win out and I would try to get a closer look.

Agreed. When I saw it on tv as a teenager, ..I too was too terrified to even get out of my chair when it was over! Think I stayed there for about a half hour staring off into the distance!.
It was at that time that my destiny was revealed to me. That I was to become the most renowned of Bigfoot hunters....! (Yeah Right)

Actually it was more probable that I was to become the inventor of 'Depends' underwear! (Sadly...I did neither! )

Charles B Pierce did make a sequel called "Boggy creek II: The legend continues" in 1985. It is a fictional story of a college professor (Pierce) and some of his students looking for the boggy creek monster. I kinda like it but dont really care for the ending. You can find it on VHS but I have not found it on DVD.
