Happened to be in a local store and saw cases of Sierra Nevada's Bigfoot Ale. new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif
It's the 2004 batch and we've been waiting on it out here. I last saw a 6 pack at the symposium. Can't get an image of the label up here, but it's a cool one.
A miner and his frightened donkey following a track trail to the left and the Bigfoot is watching him from the trees. Hope someone who is digitally inclined will post a copy of it.
It's pricey, usually $9.00 a six or more and it's 9.6% alc. by volume!! new_stun.gif Whoa!
Cheers!

Brewed and bottled by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. in Chico, CA.
How far out does it get? Can you get it in Or, WA, NV, CO, etc.?

Well, it took half a hundred years for Coors to make it to Maryland, so I'm not holding much hope of seeing Sierra Nevada's Bigfoot Ale in any of our local stores in my lifetime....sigh...

This one is dated 1989. Is the same label still used?

Wow JayLeeD!
Where did ya find that?
JayleeD
There was a guy wink.gif who had a case at a bbq I went to last fall. He handed them out. Sweeeeet! biggrin.gif

Well folks, start sending your emails in to your Brewery of choice, encouraging them to pick up the license to brew , in your hood!
BigfootDad
That's the label, JayleeD!!

The six pack package is great (same expanded image) and the case box has footprints across the top with the message...."Bigfoot recommends keeping the product refrigerated..." or something like that! biggrin.gif

Uh, sorry...

icon_really_happy_guy.gif Hey no problem. Maybe the brewers should consider the red circle on the label. laugh.gif
BigfootDad
Yeah, it's a good "Bigfoot" there looming in the woods.
Even better, and BIGGER, on the six pack holder side panel.
Cool artwork. cool.gif
Good ale. new_stun.gif
I know they auctioned some off at the symposium..
and I'm still curious as to where it actually gets distributed...can you get it in Southern Cal? and those other states I mentioned earlier?

............always with the red circle! icon_really_happy_guy.gif we've enjoyed SN BF ALE in WI for 5 or so years. its a barley-wine ale. an aquired taste for sure. i enjoy their Cellebration Ale or their Pale Ale much more, but there is that BF alure--which is nice. biggrin.gif .......or just buy their BF ball cap: http://www.sierranevada.com/store/shop/Sea...exid=1K0VUVMAMC icon_blob.gif btw: my fav CA beer is anchor steam from SF.

I don't think that would be wise on their part. They would have to change the name of the beer to "Blobsquatch Ale". icon_blob.gif icon_really_happy_guy.gif

Think of all the problems that would cause. They would have to print all new labels which would include a " icon_blob.gif " on it, stop the assembly line to put the new labels in the machine, send out a press release to inform the public of the change and to explain to the uninformed just what the f**k a Blobsquatch is. icon_really_happy_guy.gif

My Dad drinks that and i do have the box and the inside of the cap has bigfoot and 2 campers sitting around the campfire enjoying some beer. I wonder if this beer would lure bigfoot in??????? new_tonguesmiley.gif I can get it in MAine.

Well I guess it's more popular then I thought! My wife spotted the Bigfoot pale ale in Ft. Collins, CO.

FYI, I ordered a couple of the shirts and hats. The package arrived today. Took one week UPS ground from Calif to Maryland. This is quality stuff. T-shirts are pre-shrunk 100% heavy weight cotton with excellent graphics. Hats are well done also, with heavy cloth strap size adjustment on the back with metal compression buckle.

Hey SW, I have a sixer! Found it locally, quite a fair supply
of it in fact wink.gif

HM, where'd you find it?!? Odenton Shopping Center, by chance??
Renthorin
I found it in Ann Arbor Michigan too :-)

Sierra Nevada is available here in Omaha, too.
Their Pale Ale is good stuff. Shows up in my fridge fairly often.
I haven't checked for the Bigfoot Ale yet.

I'm sure there's a joke to be made somewhere about blobsquatches and that 9.6% alcohol content...

On a side note, did anyone see Steve Irwin giving that Gorilla a can of Foster's? It was some zoo in the UK that apparently has the most successful gorilla breeding program in the world. And occassionally the big silverback is allowed a can or two of beer. Now I'm sure there's a joke that could be made about beer and successful breeding programs....
The silverback did seem to love that beer. They poured the can through the fence, and the big guy stuck out his bottom lip like a bowl and slurped it down as fast as they could pour it.

So maybe squatch would enjoy one of these. Someone do a field test. The big fella deserves a beer or two.
Just don't go using pheromone baits at the same time.

I have exactly one bottle of 1998 "Bigfoot Ale". Highest bidder wins icon_mrgreen.gif
