IS IT JUST ME,OR DOES ANYONE ELSE THINK THAT THE OLDER
SASQUATCH DOCUMENTARYS AND MOVIES ARE BETTER THAN
MOST OF THE NEWER ONES? blink.gif
I MEAN THERE ARE SOME GOOD NEWER DOCS,BUT I THINK
THE OLDER ONES WERE BETTER.WHO CAN FORGET THE 1979 MOVIE
SASQUATCH THE LEGEND OF BIGFOOT?OR MYSTERIOUS MONSTERS?
I HAVE SEEN THE NEWER MOVIE THE UNTOLD,(ALSO KNOWN AS SASQUATCH
AND IN MY OPINION IT WAS HORRIBLE! new_thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif I ALSO DONT CARE
FOR MYSTERIOUS ENCOUNTERS EITHER.LMS WAS VERY GOOD HOWEVER.
I SURE WISH THEY WOULD SHOW SOME OF THE OLDER STUFF ON T.V.
ONCE IN AWHILE!! WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? blink.gif
etheral
Yeah. Look at the recent Sasquatch movie. Although I enjoyed it, I think they could've done better.

Legend of Boggy Creek and Creature from Black Lake are good, well as much as they can be considering the budgets..

I have never seen the old Sasquatch. I would like to get the dvd but I can't find it anywhere and the only place that carries a video cd version is Ebay.
tarran
YEAH,I DIDNT MENTION BOGGY CREEK OR CREATURE FROM BLACK
LAKE.BUT EVEN IF EVERYTHING IN THEM WAS NOT TRUE, THEY STILL
WERE SCARY AND MADE YOU THINK.AND LET ME TELL YOU ETH,THE
CREATURE IN BOTH BOGGY CREEK AND CREATURE FROM BLACK LAKE
LOOKED MORE REAL THAN THE FREAKIN SWAMP THING IN THE UNTOLD!! biggrin.gif
THE TROUBLE IS GETTING A HOLD OF MOVIES LIKE THE OLD SASQUATCH
OR DOCS LIKE MYSTERIOUS MONSTERS!! icon_bang.gif

eBay is a really good place to get copies of the older bigfoot movies. I agree with you, the old movies are MUCH better than the recent ones. I think the old ones were made to make us think like Mysterious Monsters. The 70's were the golden years of bigfoot new_guitar.gif

My two nieces, age 7 and 9, and my nephew age 12 stayed at my house Saturday night. They kept bugging me to let them watch a scary movie. I thought to myself that I would show the little boogers and put Legend of Boggy Creek in the DVD player. They were bored out of their minds and kept saying "this isn't scary". icon_eek.gif

I think it's all what you grow up with. It has to be blood and guts for these kids to get the creeps. dry.gif

I remember up to a few years ago WTBS would occasionally play Mysterious Monsters.Maybe we ought to petition WTBS to show it again.

Yup!
It is not enough to know that the monster 'really' is in the closet..they want to drag him out and count his teeth and claws and make him do funny roars.
And of course, go through a few dismemberment requests. And there had better be some good laughts in there too!

Sadly, I think you're right. I was in high school when I first saw "Boggy Creek" and I was on the edge of my seat. The bar has definitely been raised for this generation, and not necessarily for the better.

You know what's really sad? They all fell asleep right after they finished bitchin about the "not scary" movie, but Auntie Jay couldn't go to sleep cause of the willies. Then when I did, I had the nightmare. dry.gif

Hey tarran, don't go smashing your head against the wall over this laugh.gif . Not to worry, I know where you can get both of these old classic Bigfoot movies on VHS, VCD or DVD. I just bought both of these on DVD online about a month ago for about $25 each. The website that sells them is www.bijouflix.com and they have lots of old, very hard to find horror movies and cult classics also. They have lots of really weird indie movies also. Just go to their webpage and on the homepage click the button on the left side that reads"flix shopping". Then just look up the name of the movie you want alphabetically.

So what are you doing down here still reading this post? Go buy your favorite Bigfoot movies and enjoy! new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

I don't necessarily mean scary or scarier than the movies or documentries
made nowdays. Though i did find the older movies and docs scary,
i also found them to be better made. And although some things in some of the
movies did not happen,or happened differently,I feel they were still done
better than the movies made recently.Take the movie the Untold for example,
the producers claim the movie is based on actual events,YEAH RIGHT!!!!
I reasearched this story and could find no records of any of the events in the
movie. You would think if 2 people who went looking for survivors of a plane
crash and didnt make it back out of the woods,it would make the national papers!!
Plus the fact that at the end of the movie it states, that the one guy in the rescue
party,(I dont remember his name, and dont want to anyway),claimed the party
was attacked by a sasquatch, but all the others said it never happened.
Then on their website they claim that two or three members of the rescue
party were along on the scenes to make sure the producers stuck to the facts
of the sasquatch encounter!!What a contradiction!!! And as far as documentaries
are concerned, the only recent one that i saw that gave credibility to the
possibility of sasquatch and was well done, was Legend Meets Science. cool.gif

in the movie wasnt GREEN!!!! icon_really_happy_guy.gif new_thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif new_thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif
You would think with the special effects they have nowdays they could have done a much better job!!! And they say the subject in the Patterson film is a guy in a suit!! Well with all the effects technology we have today,I still havent seen a Sas in an old or a new movie that looks even remotely close to Patty!!And thats because she is the real deal!!!! new_lmaosmiley.gif

Well actually tarran, if I remember correctly the Sasquatch in that movie looked kind of like a Sasquatch but one that had obviously found and played with a bottle of Nair hair remover!!! icon_really_happy_guy.gif icon_really_happy_guy.gif icon_really_happy_guy.gif Poor guy, now he needs Rogaine!!!

I got a good laugh at the Sas with the receeding hairline, but what totally baffles me is that the cover art for the tape box looks like something from an old Werewolf movie. I found myself scanning the opening credits looking for Lon Chaney's name. biggrin.gif
