Has anyone considered that the missing toes on bigfoots could be due to animal steel jawed traps. The gators around here sometimes leave tracks that indicate missing toes. This has been attributed to traps used in the fur trade. Just a thought...it may have already been considered. smile.gif

dont think so.... it wouldnt, because if it was caused by trap it probably would be damage to other toes/foot or it would be deformed somewere else on the foot.

It's possible but some of the three toed (and 4 toed) tracks seem to be well proportioned, and not like a damaged or deformed 5 toed foot. Also, if both the left and right feet have the same structure, injury seems unlikely.

I'm personally a little skeptical about the authenticity of 3/4 toed tracks, but some people who i would trust (Arkansan for example) have vouched for them.

Yes. But it wasn't related to 3-toed tracks in any way mellow.gif

Anyone know of any good photos of 3 and 4 toed tracks. I have not seen one yet. Only 5 toes.

Maybe the BF are noodling for Catfish and end up shoving their feet into beaver dens?

regarding toe-prints, here's an interesting article from M. Trachtengerts about sasquatch prints left in the snow:

On Fig.6B it is well notable the feature marked above on P.Bordet's tracks - short snow wall between fingers
(he calls toes, "fingers")

QUOTE
Figures #B1 and #B2 (rear views) show, how fingers of right leg (1) leave shallow tracks, and of left leg (2) - deep ones on a snow-covered slope. When the leg is vertical, level of snow on its side turned downhill is lower, than on the side which is turned uphill.

Thanks.

This may be a little bit off-topic, but there was an african tribal people in an isolated area of Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) back when it was a British colony - these people had developed two large toes on each foot instead of five. It could be that isolated BF have developed a similar characteristic (?).
(sorry I don't recall the name of the tribe, nor do I have any pictures)
