Yes, I think I would keep a camera and video camera on the end table ready for those "special moments"...

Stop putting bait outside and maybe he'll stop coming around! Boy, people can be stupid. headbang.gif
It's funny that the investigator's always seem to come up with pretty key points after their interviews. But these are always left out of the actual reports.
Why are they putting food out at the tree-line? Do these people want bears and wolves outside their door? scratchhead.gif
It's pretty simple, mount a trail-cam on the house. They're cheap. How does the investigator not think of this?
Pretty sure that they'd be able to find a good track somewhere.
Set up the camera, but this time put a pie and a glass of milk out in front of the window. Maybe try waving at him next time. coverlaugh.gif

I really would like to think these nice people really saw what they say they saw, I really would.

Aside from the good comments already made above...

I just happened to meet a father and son from Weaverville (ground zero for big foot in California -- not far from Willow Creek ) over the weekend. Actually we were picking ducks together Sat am at a NWR refuge in N. Califormia. You know, I think people tend to drop pretenses when they have been up since 2 am, they still have their camo on, and their hands are bloody with bird stuff. We started talking. It was a truly beautiful day. We could see Mt Lassen covered in snow to the North in the distance . We could hear the geese in the closed zones.

So I said to the Dad, I have to ask you, Weaverville is known as grand central big foot country...Do the folks in Weaverville find any of this credible?

They were very nice too, and very amused. The answer was a very polite -- no, not at all.
