Just wondering if someone on this forum can identify the newspaper article that appears at 4:08 in the video "World's Greatest Hoaxes" at this link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7N33M7as5Ew

I have seen the photo before, maybe in one of the John Green books, but can't say for sure and I don't own those books. I did not find the article in the Chris Murphy publication of news articles. Tirademan doesn't recognize article. The article appears to have been written within the week following the PGF encounter. I'd like to know what paper published the article, who wrote the article and who took the photograph. Thank you, HMB

edited PS. I did not find the article in the BFRO or Bigfootencounters media lists.

See if you can locate contact information for the Producer, Director and/or Researcher who worked on this film and that may help you get to the bottom of it.

Forgive me for my obvious stupidity here but at 06:11, is Patty walking the other way, is it my imagination or is it just mirrored ????? scratchhead.gif

The article states that the film will be shown at the University of .........

Someone may correct me, but I believe the film was first shown at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. So, a shot in the dark, the article may have originated from Vancouver, maybe the Sun??

Not sure if it could be this article but I found a transcript of it on bigfootencounters:

http://www.bigfootencounters.com/articles/province2.htm

Looks like it was written about five days afterward by a Canadian paper "The Province".

Edited to add: Scratch that, I just did a frame by frame and read the top of the article. It's just a guess but by the title not including Washington but simply Yakima, I would start with some Washington papers...

I have ordered the microfilm record of several papers publishing at that time. The photograph appears in John Green's 1978 publication, page 117, but he says he doesn't actually remember the provenance of the photograph. Updates as they happen. HMB
