And are we getting closer to the truth of this piece of footage than 42 years ago when it was first viewed (can we)? I've probably watched the damn thing 1000's of times fast, slow, backwards, forwards, stabilized, color, black and white, zoomed in, zoomed out, and read million of words on it both for and against its veracity.

And after all that...

I just don't friggin' know...

I'm thinking it's time to find better, more incontrovertible evidence, like an actual body...with the advances in photo, video and audio technology, a picture or recording is really no evidence at all, and a clear (and I mean REALLY clear) video might convince me, but if I have a problem with a film taken 42 years ago when this digital technology didn't exist, I'm pretty sure that knowing what is possible, having watched some of the great sfx onscreen of the last 10 years, I just plain need a body for closure, or if I have my own sighting of one in the wild (but I'm not in the wild that often so I'm pretty sure that ain't happening anytime soon.)

But it has provided me with hours of thoughtful enjoyment of what may or may be possible in this world, and for that I am grateful for it, real or hoax....
