Daniel Perez: What is your gut feeling about the late Paul Freeman and his 1982 sighting, tracks with so-called "dermal ridges," his Bigfoot videos and all the other stuff which he claimed was Bigfoot evidence?
John Green: The first few hours I spent with Paul convinced me he was something of a yarn-spinner, and later a Japanese lab reported that clumps of hair he claimed to have found in the woods were made up of artificial fiber, but he was active in a good location and I would not argue that he never found anything genuine.
