Sahar was so upset and disturbed he began sobbing, and I had to comfort him.

Why?

Not very many details here.
Bob
Remind me to not go squatching with Sahar. sadbye.gif

I hope we get more details.

That was a weird detail. The only explanation I can think of is he was overwhelmed with emotion after finally seeing what he had been after for so long.

Has there ever been a case in bigfootdom where evidence was collected by an individual who also claimed to have seen the creature leave said evidence?
Robert
Sahar... that name is familiar... Lema Sahar... Is this the same woman that the Taliban is after?

I'm going to wait and see what happens. Last time evidence was to come out of that part of the world...

I'm kinda expecting they'll get stopped by border agents, who will then confiscate the evidence (if its real), assign a local scientist to study the evidence, hold further expeditions, spread lots of hype to increase tourism and then report the results months later - it was goat hair and contaminated DNA from the food samples.

I hope I'm wrong, but we've seen this movie before.

I think Bobby meant "in a completely different country, malaysia, yeah we have..."

I'll just say that they all get their eggs from the same farmer in that part of the world. smile.gif

I know both Adam and Dave personally - they are both level-headed people, but I'll wait to see the analysis before I get excited about it.

Well if this is kosher, there'a double whammy..

Quote " Following an animal through the Sumatran jungle if it wants to get away (it seems to have been alarmed by a nearby tiger) is of course impossible. "

Not only were they close to an as yet undiscovered & as we are to presume, higher Primate Species, they were also close to another of the Worlds rarest Creatures, a Sumatran Tiger , of which there are thought to be only 200 - 400 left in the Wild & less than 100 in Southern Sumatra...

I think they should look at buying a Ticket for Wednesday's Lottery too..

The "tiger" doesn't really bother me. Why should they lie about this? Or maybe it was a leopard which is more common on Sumatra.

Two things that bother me: why don't they stay longer if they are so successful? Two weeks can't be enough for such an ambitious scientific project.

They name the species Pongo martyri? So they think it is an orang species. But why should the ancestor of both species have evolved into an upright species and a quadrupedal species in the same habitat? Hmm...

Oh yes, and send these two witnesses to Harvey Pratt. He'd do a fine sketch...
