Hi
Not a great picture to start with, It has the right look to it but who can say with it being so far out there and blurry, I checked around and could not find anything else on the story.

Haven't BF's been seen allegedly to sleep sitting up also ??

At a glance, it looks to that the animal was added in after the fact. The highlights on the animal don't seem to match the direction that the sun is shining.

A homeowner's backyard surveillance camera catches a black image that faintly appears as a hairy, ape-like creature.

The video timed out so I didn't view it.
FAIRDALE, KY (WAVE) - Conspiracy theorist have tried to prove the possibility of aliens, sea monsters, and even shape shifters, now there is a mystery Jefferson County. Kenny Mahoney, born and raised in Fairdale, snapped a picture of what some people are calling Big Foot.
Conspiracy theorist?
No wonder the majority of people have a hard time with believing in BF. Every time the media mentions BF they always have to include the names of other mysteries and phenomenon’s like Aliens, Sea monsters and shape shifters. Lumping all of them together automatically discredits the whole story and the people involved. If the media doesn’t believe the story they shouldn’t print it! After all, isn’t that what the National Inquirer and other rags like that are for?
After reading the article here is the real headline:
Game camera captures trash bag blowing around in back Yard.
It no longer is “freedom of the press” it is “manipulation by the press” and it has been this way for a long time.
O.K. now I just watched the news and they had a report. It was presented by the news anchor with one of those condescending smiles and rolled eyes.
I understand that this is the way it is.
I guess I will go take my blood pressure meds now.

The shape looks about right. The height is about the same height as the photographer when he stood next to that bush in the news video (hmmm....).
The weird thing is the hands. They look they are melting off or something. I have never seen that is a sasquatch photo before. Really long hair covering the hands? I can't explain that.

Looks like lobster-quatch.
Here's what someone posted in the comments section of the story:
"I live 4 houses up from Kenny. He's not the kind of guy to go around telling stories, so this is pretty crazy. Especially since I grew up running around in those woods that outline his property. Unless this is a 6 or 7 foot tall paper bag with distinctive arms and a head, then I think you can throw that theory out the window. I checked my trail cam that is about a half mile from his placement...all I had were deer. =/ haha."
Here's a map of his location:

I purchased a Bushnell Trophy Cam last week and set it up in my back yard to play around with it. I'm new at this and don't know the best options for setup, so I chose to set it up to record 20 second videos separated by 1 minute intervals instead of still frame pictures. Seems to work pretty good, I've been testing it by throwing a ball for my dog. Maybe Kenny's trail cam doesn't have this option, but if it does and he's listening, image how much better a videosquatch would have been instead of a blobsquatch.

I also see that his property backs up against Fort Knox Military Reservation (THE Fort Knox?). I now suspect someone in a ghilly suit that has gone off the reservation. Compare the hands and the dark horizontal stripe across the chest.

I saw the video on this and the camera the man used was a Moultrie D-40. They have a sensor range of around 30 feet. This shaggy thing seemed much farther out. Hmmmm.

QUOTE(BigfootGeek @ Sep 7 2009, 06:35 PM)

I’ve spent some more time analyzing the pictures, I really think it’s a black bird or crow caught in the take-off mode. The perception is off, making you think the creature is farther back in the grass when the bird is really much closer to the camera. I can see separation of what looks like feathers, hence the slight motion blur of what could be perceived as the creature’s arms.
Too bad the camera was not set to video mode.
Just a bird!

I hope this guy excepts help, which I'm sure is on it's way right now. He looks pretty determined to get to the bottom of whatever it was. That CNN clip actually answered a few questions I had about the blob, which is rare. Like is he looking for more evidence and if he is able to identify prints. And the height estimate with the flowers was cool too.

Sep 8 2009, 03:17 PM
I think the image is above (i.e., not in contact with) the ground, thereby lending weight to the "bird" hypothesis. If this was, as it superficially appears, a primate seated and resting its elbows on its knees, then we should be able to see the aforementioned knees, feet - some part of its lower extremities. It doesn't make sense that so much of the torso and arms would be visible but nothing visible below that.
So the likely candidates are American Crow, Wild Turkey, Turkey Vulture, and Black Vulture. I don't think it's either of the vultures - both have wing patches that should be visible. Wild Turkey might look all dark like this, so it's a possibility. A turkey would also be attracted to whatever this fella has in his feeder. But a crow would also find deer corn attractive, and be all black. Pending additional clarification, my working hypothesis is American Crow*. I just wish I could make out something that could be interpreted as its head, feet, tail, etc.
*Common Raven and Fish Crow - as well as Common Grackle - are similar, though less likely, candidates.

[quote name='Va-Bigfoot' 'I really think its a black bird or crow caught in the take-off mode'A crow? are you serious?

if you watch the film, the subject is said to be 55 yards away and towers over a bush its next to that if 5 1/2 ft tall. the thing is described as 4 feet wide. A crow would be the same size as a rabbit and they appear tiny in the film by comparison and much closer to the camera. it looks to me like this thing, whatever it is, is over 6' tall, facing the camera, whilst sitting with its knees drawn up and is rooting around in that stump/ flower/ veg pot thing using thumb and fingers, visible thanks to duck BOY's enlargements above.
