At some point this year, I hope, I should be coming in to a bit of money. I'd like to take about a grand and spend it on Squatchin gear. I have all the camping stuff I need. Video camera, digital cam, all that stuff.
What I'd like to do is pick up a piece of equipment for group use. Something that's not just for me, but that might benefit the group.
Call blaster? 2 or 3 game cams?
What would you folks suggest?

The game trouble and a scarry movie , i dunno man call blaster would be nice thought.

I would buy a thermal imaging video cam, but I think it would cost more than a grand.

I agree with Robert...splurge and get a NV camera.

Yes, a thermal imager would be a nice toy, but then all I'd end up with are pics or video of an orange blobsquatch. A few grand seems an awful lot to spend for that.
I'm actually leaning towards a call-blaster. I've been checking into them and they make some pretty good ones for around 2 or 3 hundred bucks, maybe a bit more depending on what kind and what features it has to offer.
So maybe one of those and a couple gamecams. Maybe an external IR illuminator for my Sony camcorder.

Anything that says 'night vision' is worthwhile.
