Yes, I know its a fish finder. But it does mention IR underwater lighting. Hhhmmmm, I might have to look into this technology. See if it would be of any use.

And no, I dont mean for use in the water. If a type of camera like this can shoot a decent video in the dark, well, its alot cheaper than a niteshot camera.

Would something like this be of any use in the field? That's what I'm talking about. I'd wonder about something like this and its ability to shoot video in the dark.

Limited visibility, limited battery life, if you get one that takes a battery at all. Useless I guess. Well, ok, on to the next ridiculous idea.

In theory it sounds like a good cheap alternative, especially for those aquatic BF, but it probably has a very wide angle lens and a short battery life and may not get the pictures you want.
