Hello all!
I'm looking for a good spot for 2 or 3 days of research and camping in Washington State. Nothing too over the top, just getting out of Oregon for a few days. I've mostly stayed either up on Mt Adams or Mt St Helens in the past and don't really know any good area's in the Washington coastal range with, recent activity except for whats on the BFRO.
A couple of friends from Portland and I were thinking of staying in the northern tip of the Oregon coastal range, around Onion Peak, Sugarloaf and Saddle Mt. Great spots, but then I thought of heading just a little further north and hitting Greys Harbor or Quinault Lake and see what we can find.
These areas have seen a lot of Sasquatchery in the past as well and still look like amazing habitat today! Any suggestions for these or other hot spots, not much farther north than Quinault Lake would be much appreciated! I posted this in the "In the Field" section as well but thought I'd get more responses here.
I'll let everyone know if we find anything or if anything finds us.
Cheers

Well if you get far enough north Mt. Baker is a great spot! I'd even say a hot spot...

I'll be staying in Lake Quinault on my Tour of the OP, then heading for Rainier & the GP NF...
Not that i'm counting but it's only 3 weeks & 3 days away now...

Sounds like a great trip Bobby! Wish you the best luck with the weather and the BF's. Quinault just looks like a good spot to do some looking in.
Cheers

We are fortunate here in western Washington to be one giant hot spot.
There are reports just barely out of the valley, let alone back further in the mountains where it can happen anywhere.
Remember "hot spot" has more to do with human activity than anything else.

Spookysully,
Sounds like a very exciting trip. Definately head for a place in Skamania county if you can. Skamania county has more reported encounters than any other place on the planet. Good luck and please give us a report where ever you end up going.
