I've been trying to find a list of animal eyeshine colors. Would be good to study them, so you know what you see out there. Of course, it might depend on what color of light you're using too, for what gets reflected back to you. Dunno. Suggestions?

With my dogs and cats, their eyeshine is yellow or sometimes green in the cats, depending on the light.

Grazhopprr,
In my attempts at snappin' decent photos of variouse critters round here, I've noticed different colors can occur. A deers, eyeshine may appear whiteish or blueish, same with rabbits an birds. Interestin'.

I would think that the color of the reflected light from a creatures eyes would depend upon the original light source, time of day/night and possibly atmospheric conditions such as humidity, dust and smoke.

These eyes were peering out at me about 6 feet off the ground.

Yeah well. Might be why I haven't found anything online that's definative about eyeshine for different animals. Too many variables to deal with. Guess we have to still get the heebee jeebee's out there, when we see something.
