I am just curious, does anyone else use a VSA ( or PSE) when interviewing?

I have found it to be quite telling, both in my previous career as a police officer and in getting bigfoot reports. No you can't just go out and buy one and expect results, but with a little training you can weed out the more dubious reports.

I like the idea of incorporating lie detectors in the job of judging the credibility of witnesses somehow. There have been new technical developments in the field. Click here for a fairly recent newspaper article describing them.

Yeah,i think that should be used all the time.Hell,id be up for it,course i wouldnt pay to travel to take it.plus,if it were a long session i'd expect to compensated for my time,other than that,yeppers great idea,weed out the bullshitters....

Sasquatchin, just curious, what kind of unit do you have that allows you to do this?

and BTW, did you write the article about your experience coming face to face with a BF in one of the free Bay Area mags -- the wave?

I use a CVSA (Computerized ) at work, it is REAL expensive and requires a 40 hour course to use it, and I use TRUSTER (also a computer program, runs on a
laptop) for BF use. I think it sells for around $90.00. There is more to it than just
recording a conversation, some training in interrogation techniques ( like the Reid
technique) helps also. I have seen a free version on the internet, but I am not familiar with it.

I have never written about my possible sighting, I am still investigating the area where it ocurred. My possible sighting occured in Indiana.
