Full Version: Shoot but then verify

Xskeptic
For the record, NONE of these photos are of any kind of animal. They are all a result of lights and shadows combined with the right blend of brush, trees and stumps. I'm posting these just to show how deceptive photos can be as I'm sure you all know. If any of you have a blobsquatch you'd like to add, please do.

It been almost a year since I went from a certified skeptic to an Xskeptic. Since then I have been out searching, however, because of my age and that I search alone I'm not willing to go into some hazardous locations for obvious reasons. Also, the area is just to vast to cover by a lone person. So I have settled on hiking in and finding ridges that offer views that I can photograph and then later search every leaf, shadow and crevice when I get home via Photoshop. The downside to this is as these photos will show, it can be very deceiving and sometimes it means another trip out to get another shot (hint: always take more than one photo a few minutes apart of the same area) to verify that you are seeing what you think is in the photo. All of these photos were verified by other photos and found to be just illusions

Hopefully someday I get a photo of the big dude as clear as my photo of these Morning Doves.

Cheers

The fifth one down from the top is awesome. Looks like a creepy garden gnome. ph34r.gif

Nice catch, I didn't recognize him without the hat. new_specool.gif

Here's another blob.
Dantallus
Heres a couple I took myself. Nothing in any of these unless I'm blind, stupid, lucky or any combination of the three lol.

Yeah, maybe that is why people get the feeling of being watched. scratchhead.gif

I thought of Patty when I first saw that photo. I was scratching my head on that photo
so the next day I went back to check out that spot and get another photo. Here it is
without the light and shadows.
